Excellent boots. This is my 6th pair. They seem to last about one year with every day wear and tear.

I'm on to my second pair of these now. I have wide and extremely flat feet along with all of the pain and problems that go along with that. These are probably the most comfortable shoes I have owned. I have walked through standing water and my feet always stayed dry. These are well built and the boot will outlive the sole. The sole is unfortunately not replaceable. Because of their comfort I ware these almost exclusively, every day. I find the soles are not as grippy as I would like and that they do ware out on the faster side of things, though I do get about a year of usage out of a pair. Because of my aching feet, comfort trumps all. For that reason they are a 5 star winner to me. If I could find as comfortable a shoe that also had better grip and lasted longer I would demote these to three stars; but for now I haven't so 5 it is.

Bought these expecting a great boot, and that is what I got. I work for the county I live in, which involves a lot of walking, operating equipment, and standing on asphalt during the hot day, and these were very comfortable. However the soles started breaking down after a little over a year and a half. I glued them back together a few times, but they got to the point that they just completely fell apart. Even with the tread wore down and the soles broken the tops are still holding together, and look pretty good. The stiching is mostly intact, with the exception of a corner that is barely lifting, but it's right at the point the soles are broken the worst. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone, especially someone not spending time on concrete and asphalt.I contacted Danner, and I got very quick, courteous replies. Apparently their "Hiking" boots have a little softer sole for traction, and they sent me a discount for a new pair of boots.

I purchased these boots for general outdoor wear, walking the dog and also use them for moderate trail hiking and light snow storms. They have worn well, are super waterproof and seem very durable. Compared to other similar style boots, they feel heavier and provide rock solid support. If you don't mind the heavier weight and a longer break in period, they are a decent shoe. They will provide years of reasonable usage and have a decent appearance. The comfort level improved when I added a better support pad. As with any Danner or Gore Tex product, expect to pay similar prices compared to similar high end hiking boots. Amazon has a great return policy, so don't hesitate to purchase them and return them if they don't feel great. Stay safe.

I just got them and wore them for a full 8 hrs straight. Very comfotable and provided a ton of foot support. Cool looking shoe as well. Very pleased.

Great Boot

I had been buying the cheapest work boots at Walmart for the past 7-8 years and a buddy of mine talked me into buying these danner boots he also recommended redwings so I chose the danner boots and let me say I don’t think I went wrong at all comparing to all my past boots from Walmart

As always, Danner makes an awesome product. I discovered years ago that the Danner 13 2E size fits me perfectly. I own 3 pairs of Danner boots and all of them are basically perfect. I bought these to replace my aging hiking boots and again, I regret not buying the Danner's to begin with. These are great trail boots through and through. I live in Northern California next to many large rivers and we do a lot of canyon crawls to get to places where we can prospect for gold. First time I wore these out, we went 5 miles up stream on the American River, worked for 7 hours and then hiked back to the truck and these boots were on my feet the whole time. Paired with the right socks, these are perfect all day outdoor boots. If you are in the market for a new pair of boots, Danner is my recommendation. There are a lot of high quality boots out there, but now that Danner has worked for me perfectly 3 times in a row - I think I have found where my money is going for every other pair of boots I need... Amazon has great pricing on these, so if you have a work-wear store near you, maybe stop by and try on a few pairs to see what size works best for you before you throw down the ol' credit card...
