Belle Epicurean Coconut Cake Mix

I finally got the time to utilize this and bake it. I was going for one step above your typical store-bought coconut cake. Coconut flavor is getting hard to find also in the stores. This was a very delicious cake mix. Very very simple to make. The taste is exceptional. Tastes just like a bakery store "specially" baked coconut cake. I will definitely be purchasing again. YUMMY!

I liked that there were chunks of coconut in the mix. I tried another coconut cake mix from Duncan Hines at the same time and liked this one better because it used fewer eggs, which I could detect when tasting the DH brand. This was super easy to make. My family loved it. I topped the coconut cake with fluffy white frosting and shredded coconut flakes. I look forward to sampling other cake mixes from Belle Epicurean.

This cake is well worth the price. I made a triple layer 8” cake. The icing is a traditional buttercream, but instead of the full amount of vanilla, I changed it to ⅓ vanilla and ⅔ pure coconut extract. It was wonderful! While I iced each layer, I added shredded coconut on top of the icing before putting on the next layer. The cake mix comes with coconut pieces in it. When all of the elements are combined, the end result is a cake that is moist and packed with flavor.

This cake was phenomenal. If you love coconut it will make you very happy. The aroma of it baking made the whole house smell like what I think Heaven should smell like.

This cake is so good. It has fresh coconut in it. I will buy again.

Box completely crushed. Packaging Cake mix plastic bag had a hole and the mix leaked out into cardboard box. Perhaps that’s why flavor was stale. Other buyers have commented similar.
