I believe I purchased three or four of these in an effort to find the perfect shade. I did like the long lasting effect of the lipstick, but it remains so difficult to find the right shade. The actual lipstick in tube will not look like the color that appears on your lips. Also, the Lipstains Gold website does not describe the shades truthfully, should you go to the trouble of doing further research before purchasing on Amazon Prime. I bought two shades that did not mention “shimmer” and yet they appeared to be like the frosted lipsticks that were popular in the 1960s and seventies. No matter what color I chose, they all stained my lips hot pink. I am now using a drugstore brand matte liquid lipstick that gives long lasting results, does not dry out the lips too much and has a bit of staining power. I’m still trying to find the perfect lipstick, but remain discouraged.

These lipsticks are beautiful...Long lasting and do not bleed. They are moisturizing and true Stains. They also make great blush (stays on all day). My fav's are Camelia and Pommarosa. Remember, they change slightly with your Ph. Try a few and you will not want any other brand!

I want to love this lip stain because it has some real staying power. But the silver rose color, was completely smashed into the lid so it it’s hard to apply and also looks terrible in public. Also, it went on super pink, really pink as in too pink. But later I looked in the mirror and it was dark and a brighter almost raspberry color. Just too bright.I don’t think any of the colors they offer will work for me. I have larger lips and I felt it looked rather clownish and bright.

This lipstick actually changed after application. It became bright and hideous! I am sorry I made this purchase.

The color went on well, stayed in place and was long wearing. But I ordered Camillia thinking, from the photo, it would be a coralish color. Instead it was a light baby pink - think 1960s diner waitress. Just not for me. Color match seems to be an ongoing problem. I agree with one of the other reviewers that showing a swatch if each color down a model's arm would be REALLY helpful.

I live in Minnesota. My lips get SO dry and chapped in the winter. My only problem with these is that my weather abused lips love this stuff, and absorb it so fast, I have to keep reapplying it. The color lasts, but it's like pouring water on a sponge. This has been doing wonders for my lips all winter. I even wear it under my mask when I'm out, and I keep a tube beside me at home. I've used medicated balms that don't work or feel as good as this lipstick.

I bought the Sweet Apricot. Loved it when I put it on. Beautiful color and texture but then I looked in the mirror 30 minutes later and it was disastrous. It had turned to a ridiculous bright pink which looked terrible. Can’t believe such a beautiful color would change to that. It only stayed on for 3 hours. After a meal it was completely gone.

I have lips that are prone to drying out and cracking. This lipstick lives up to its name. It moisturizes my lips better than anything else I have tried, which even includes medicated balm. I put it on in the morning and forget about it. It lasts all day even after eating and drinking. I love it so much, I will buy more, soon.

I actually did like this very much. It's quite light but delivers a great natural colour without being overpowering. I really like this for summer. As for staying power.....it does last quite a while, a couple of hours but once you eat/drink....it comes off. I would buy more of this product.

I’ve been using these for several years. Long- lasting, quality lipstick. Use on its own or under your regular lipstick for long-lasting colour.
