Great for interactive play not for super chewers
The media could not be loaded. This ball is super fun but not for tough chewers. My 35 pound border collie chewed the first one into a million little pieces in 20 minutes. She did continue to play with the half that was left for months. I purchased a second one for supervised play only and it has been great! The holes make it easy for the dog to pick up and carry. My dog likes to toss it and pounce on it since the rubber bends. The ball is very durable if you want to play tug of war with it! We also love this ball for enrichment activities. I hid treats in rolled pieces of fleece or paper and stuff then in the holes of the ball and it takes my pup an hour to unpack the whole ball. It is a great ball for interactive play but once I am done playing I do have to put the ball away so my dog can’t chew it apart when she is bored.

This is our favorite dog toy...we think it's his too.
When we moved into our house, we found a very similar dog toy in the back yard and our dog loves it! It was easy for us to kick/throw and it was just as easy for him to run and pick it up. It's a really strange game of fetch because he doesn't always want to bring it back...he wants to chew on it. He's a very aggressive chewer, so it took him a while, but he finally destroyed the old one. The brand had come off of the old toy so I went searching and finally found this. When we opened the box, he saw what was inside and went crazy trying to get the new one. He knew what it was. We finally got the thing out of its plastic restraints and out the door we went. He's a very happy dog. :)But...it didn't take him as long to chew through this one. It is still usable, but it probably won't be for long. We will get the next size up and hope that it's tough. Our dog will surely test it out for them! Our dog LOVES this toy, just wish it lasted a little bit longer.

Our favorite ball (no really it's THE ball)
My Boston Terrier didn't like this toy at first. We tried to get her engaged with it but she basically ignored it for a few months. Then one day she nosed it around and brought it to me for fetch. Ever since it's been her favorite toy. It's lightweight, bounces a bit when thrown, it's not loud, decent to play fetch and tug, indoor and outdoor friendly, she can easily carry it and squish her face into it. Since it doesn't have much surface area, it never feels very slobbery. The vanilla scent is not obnoxious. I like it better than the weird rubber smell that a lot of toys have. Really just pluses all around. She loved the small size so much that I ordered a large sized too. She loves them both, often trying to bring both at the same time to play.Update: It's been sometime since my first review, our little Bostie is full grown at 15 lbs now and she might be obsessed. The large size is just small enough for her to carry/run with. Both sized balls are now THE toys. They are the first toys she goes to every day. She takes them outside with her, makes us wait at the door while she goes and gets one even. She follows us in the house with them in her mouth, pressing them into our legs when we stop moving. They are really never far out of reach. We throw them for fetch, but she really likes to drop them as she's running back so they roll to your feet and you kick them! A lot of our fetch games turn into kickball fetch (which is a nice break for the arm!). These balls lob really nicely off your foot, even indoors it's relatively safe (use common sense, we don't kick them around breakables or screens). We've gotten creative and added smaller stuffed toys into the middle of the balls for her to pull out, or rolled fabric pulled though the holes (sometimes rolled with a little kibble or a few plain Cheerios or a couple high value treats). She's not exactly nice to them, but they are holding up very well, teeth punctures only, no tearing. I realize she's only 15 lbs, so obviously larger dogs may tear the material quicker/easier, however the rubber is really stretchy and seems to take a beating. She puts her whole weight into tugging, multiple times per day, and we've had no problems even with those sharp new teeth she has. These will also be fantastic at the dog park this summer! We found the Giggler version locally and it makes strange noises that intrigue her when she rolls it (it's a little heavy for kickball/fetch though, it's usually in the yard as a boredom stop for being alone). We got a football shape, but we think she likes the grip her mouth gets on the round style better as she doesn't play with it as much. I think we're JW Hol-ee Roller lifers though. I can't imagine another toy that our dog will like better at this stage in her life; we've tried just about every style available. She already has like 20 other toys she now ignoring for these! lol

Great for aggressive chewers
My dog loves these balls. This is the first time I bought one from Amazon. I didn’t get the color, black, that was in the picture, I got a blue one. Also, the ball was smaller than the ones I have purchased from Tractor Supply.

Durable ball that you can use to kick while playing fetch instead of bending over to pick it up.
As a person with a bad back it makes it hard to always be bending over to pick up a ball when playing fetch with my border collie. The large ball is perfect for me to kick it instead of bending over to pick it up. Its lightweight construction makes it very easy to kick a longer distance with very little effort. My border collie absolutely loves it and he has already got used to just setting the ball by my foot so I can kick it again. It has made playing fetch enjoyable again for both of us and I don't have to worry about a bunch of back pain after we play. I will be buying a couple more in case "Ace" misplaces one under the bed or in the house. :)

Not for all dogs
My dog hated this mall and he has a ball obsession. However, I gave to my daughter’s dog and she loves it.

My dog loves these!
I have bought all the sizes of these balls. They are very lightweight so easy to carry around, even the very large ball. In the extra large and large I have small balls in so she spends hours trying to get them out.I have provided photos of all the balls so you compare the sizes.I have an 8 Month Miniature SchnauzerThe ball colours are random

Great toy. This is the size up from the ...
Great toy. This is the size up from the smaller size and its really strong for its design .my German shepherd totally loves this toy and even falls asleep holding onto it .he has the smallest one too in the range as its still larger than a tennis ball so no chance of it being stuck in his throat .We have two of these now both red in colour .did have a green small one but it finnally broke in several places after about 2 years of constant use .So for us personally our 3 year old boy plays with it but his not a destructive chewer as some dogs may be he enjoys squeezing it and pawing at it and playing catch.it has lasted well with him.Not sure how it would hold out with an agressive chewer gnawing on it it probably would fall apart .But it can take some punishment as my young fella has strong jaws indeed .These hol -Ee balls really are good fun for a playful dog and easy to wash in the sink when they need a clean .A really good buy and you can squash it flat into your pocket if need be to take out on walks .I loop his lead through it so it dangles on his lead if his puffed out after a walk and being to lazy to hold it when its wet & slobbery to go in my pocket .Highly recommended indeed 😊🐾🐾🐾🐾👍

Brilliant toy
I have a 9 month old cockapoo who jumps on flower beds and started digging up grass, so since we got her had to take her in the garden on a lead. Not much fun. I wanted a toy to distract her, ordinary balls only holding her attention for a few minutes. This toy is brilliant, she loves it! It is reserved for garden, not house and it’s squashy nature makes it slightly chewy. She flies round the garden and when I want her to settle down, I can stuff a dog biscuit in it, which prolongs the fun. I don’t usually bother with writing reviews, but this is worth it!

Now you see it, now you don't!
Looking for toys to keep our energetic and boisterous 6-month old lab/collie cross girl mentally stimulated we came across this and thought it would be Just The Thing.....It arrived on 5th August to our excitement but to doggo's disdain. That's a toy? For me? Are you serious? Well, er yes, we are. So we filled it with all sorts of goodies fit for a dog - old socks, tied in knots with a bit of kibble hidden in the toes; the sleeve off an old sweater treated to the knot-and-kibble, and handed it to doggo. She turned her snout up at it. This went on for a couple of weeks, much to our disappointment, as she obviously preferred the cardboard packaging it had arrived in. You know what they say about kids - never mind the expensive toy, they prefer the packaging, and so it was with our girl, until......finally one day she just took to it with a look that seemed to ask why we hadn't given it to her earlier! It has taken precisely three weeks for her to chew a big hole in the Hol-ee Roller and it's now been discarded along with a flat tennis ball, a rubber ball that has been reduced to the size of a walnut and a tug rope - which arrived only a couple of hours ago - which she has shredded. When we adopted this beast from the local shelter we were told she was a Dog. No she isn't - she's a Tyrannosaurus in a dog suit!
