For all new mums!
Fantastic! If you are expecting a baby or are a new mum, be it your 1st, 2nd, 5th baby this book is for you. You don't have to have subscribed to hypnobirthing or mindfulness to benefit from the gentle guidance as you navigate your first days, weeks and months as a new mum. I love the stories from other mums, their honest experiences are real and comforting. I wondered if it was going to be a parenting manual - nah, its for mums, about motherhood. It has loads of easy excercises to support your up and down days. Parenting is hard and wonderful. This book steadies you as you step through it all with amazing empathy. It's not a manual or a guide, its a companion. I even get to listen to the author Sophie guide me with audios which you can download.

A great book that's relevant way past the first year!
I bought this book as I was interested in the topic of supporting new mothers but learnt a lot from it, even though my youngest child is nearly in high school. It has a whole range of great exercises in it that help calm and soothe your nerves for a range of situations. It's tone is gentle and supportive - just what any new parent in the thick of it needs. It covers a whole range of different issues that might be affecting your wellbeing that come up in the first year, but I've recommended it to friends who have teenagers (as lets face it, some of the underlying issues are quite similar!).If you're a parent feeling a bit frazzled or anxious - buy it. Actually, if you're anyone who could do with some support in calming an anxious mind (and who doesn't), I'd really recommend it. Even the cover is soothing (one time I suggest actually judging a book by its cover!)

A warm hug and companion for all new mothers and parents
This book offers to support the mental wellbeing of new mothers or parents as they navigate the highs, the lows and the challenges of the first year of baby's life. Sophie leaves nothing unturned (mental wellbeing, feeding, sleep, YOU) and offers simple, practical and nourishing words and techniques that can be worked through at your own pace. It feels as if she's giving you that warm hug every new mother needs, makes you feel less alone and more a part of the wider web of early motherhood. 5* and will be recommending to every new parent I know.

One of my favourite new mum investments
I love this! After reading Sophie Fletcher's hypnobirthing book I couldn't resist giving this one a try and I was not disappointed. A fantastic resource to help you not only 'survive' the first year but remember, even during the darkness of sleep deprivation, to be present and enjoy every moment.
