I love black licorice so was very happy to find some gluten free option.

These are the best black licorice candy you will ever eat. These come fresh and are so enjoyable. If you like black licorice you will want to try these. I have given them to everyone I know and have converted many people who claimed they didn’t like “licorice” into fans. I get these delivered every three months. So good.

I’ve tried several different black Licorice that I found on Amazon and these taste the best.

Used to be able to buy these at the local Tractor Supply, but they no longer carry them. The Mrs. will accept no substitute!

So, Scottie Dogs are definitely cute. Every licorice is a nice sized scottie dog. You can even see the outline of the eye on most of the candies.The flavor? Good, tastes fairly strong like a licorice should, rather than like flour with sugar in it. (Some of the licorice I have tried lately have been horribly weak.) Downside, sometimes there is an odd fishy taste in some of the candies. Not sure what this is, but it is not a good experience.Texture? Like the inside of a jelly bean, for the most part. A little tougher, but a nice chew or good to suck on just to enjoy the anise and licorice flavoring.Ingredients: These are marketed for vegans, which is not a diet I personally endorse and 'Never' will. I could go off as to exactly why, but this is a review of the candy not a treatise on the human body.Marketed as Gluten free and Nut free and Dairy free.Loses one star for the odd fishy flavor that randomly occurs in some of the pieces.

I have loved Gimbal's Natural Black Licorice Scottie Dogs since I first tried them. There have been sellers trying to copy the Scottie Dogs, but if someone has ever eaten the Gimbal's brand they will never be satisfied with another brand.

They have no wheat, the relaxing anise, good texture and taste fantastic! My husband and I both love them. The deliveries are quick.
