I GENIETTI Watermelon Cutter & Server, 15cm, Silver

I purchased this cutter this week and I love it. It's easy to use and I don't have to deal with a huge puddle of watermelon juice running everywhere. It doesn't mutilate the slices if you use it properly. Once you remove one slice you can change the thickness of the rest if you want them thinner. So far it's perfect for cutting watermelon, cantaloupe, and papaya. Now that I don't have to hack the rind to get the watermelon out I might even get around to pickling the ride or using the halves as fun serving bowls for fruit salads! The iGenietti slicer is the original, now it's "designed it Italy" but made in China for the company. Mine arrived with the handle scuffed but it works just fine because the main component is that little metal bar on the tip that does all the work. If you want a quick way to get melon out of the rind this is a great tool.

Watermelon is serious business in our household and this product is perfect for cutting and serving! I used ours for the first time today and declare that this is going to be our Christmas present to friends and family this year. It took me several slices to get the hang of this device, but I never felt nervous about cutting myself (I do tend to be nervous when using a butcher knife because the possibility of slipping is ever present). There was very little waste (which I find to be a problem when using a regular knife) so a small watermelon gave me quite a bit more meat than I expected. I will treat this product as I do my knives, hand wash and dry. In our area, I am hopeful we will be able to get at least two more watermelons before the end of the season :)

I had received a similar product as a gift and loved how easily, quickly and efficiently it sliced up watermelon. I ordered this one as a gift for a friend and it did not work anywhere near as well and basically masticated the melon leaving a mushy mess.

I was excited to try this product as I myself do not like watermelon and dislike the task of cutting it up for everyone. This looks like a great way to serve it and keep moderately clean at the same time. When the package arrived, the packaging unfortunately was completely in Spanish and I am not able to read Spanish, so hopefully I am not missing out on anything. There were no instructions so I went by videos that I had seen previously. For the most part this item made my life way easier. I struggled with how to initially start using it and still have some room to learn but it is serving the purpose I wanted it for. Cleaner and less touching for me! LOL There is a learning curve with the slicer, but for me it worked pretty well.

The item works ok. The seller is very good. I ordered it and it had broke on the first use so I contacted them and they sent me a new one with no issue. The second one dos not break when I used it but I feel that although this seems like a good novelty item, it's quicker for me to slice the watermelon myself. Also it would be better if it had a rubber grip on the handle to better grasp it.

I am purchasing an additional cutter for my neighbor. The family observed the use of my cutter during a patio dinner with my children. I've used this device during the summer of 2019 (family reunion serving several watermelons), 2020 (routine backyard bar-b-que during quarantine) and now February 2021. It is not broken or damaged whatsoever. If it does break after the many uses, I would purchase again. This little device will put a smile on my neighbor's face because her 4 yr. old son absolutely love watermelon. I am leaving this fantastic device at her door along with a watermelon.

Oh, ya now were talking. This is awesome. This only takes minutes to cut up a watermelon. I had got the one slicer that cut it like a apple slicer but that was still pretty messy. This slicer is so much better. There is no mess. I just slice the watermelon in half and start cutting into the watermelon. Then over a bowl I just tap the watermelon rind and it all drops in the bowl. Do that on both halves and your done. Throw the rinds away or use it for a fruit bowl. I really like it. Plus you can use it to cut cake, no mess.

I just received my watermelon corer and couldn't be more pleased. I bought a small seedless watermelon and decided that I wanted to order this tool because I was getting tired of the messy time consuming process of slicing and dicing the hard way. I used this tool right away and it was so easy! The slices were perfect and using the server end of the tool was a snap! I would highly recommend this tool for anyone to purchase. I might buy one for family as gifts because that is how much I love it!

Ganz ehrlich, am Anfange dachte ich, braucht man sowas? Habe es trotzdem bestellt und es ist echt nützlich!Ich esse relativ viel Wassermelone, kann diese natürlich auch mit einem Messer schneiden, nur ist dies immer eine nervige Angelegenheit und schmiert auch viel. Mit diesem Schneider geht das viel schneller. Meistens lasse ich meine Gäste selber die Melone schneiden. So sieht es auch viel schöner präsentiert aus.Die Qualität ist super, daran kann man nichts aussetzen.

Comme tout outil il faut apprendre à s'en servir. Les vidéos sur Internet nous montrent une coupe extrêmement facile parce qu'elles sont faites avec des pastèques molles. Néanmoins la plupart des pastèques sont quand même un peu plus fermes : il faut donc forcer un peu plus que ce qui nous est montré sur les vidéos.Une fois qu'on a bien comprit le mouvement d'arrondi en appuyant en même temps (c'est un coup à prendre) l'outil devient indispensable et ne laisse plus aucun résidu de pastèque dans le fond.Ce qui est pratique, c'est de couper la pastèque en deux dans le sens de la longueur et, ainsi, on peut la remettre au frigo sans qu'elle coule (le jus reste dans le fond). Personnellement, je la recouvre d'un petit film transparent étirable pour conserver sa fraîcheur et elle me tient une semaine voir plus.
