FBA_2.5" Rlw-100 2-1/2" White Faced Aluminum Louver & Screen 4/Bag

A wandering neighborhood raccoon went up on the roof and were I had 20 of these 2.5 inch diameter, round hole soffit vents over and extension on a master bedroom, and he decided to punch-out some and rip-out some others. They were probably up there since 1959, I'd guess, The screen was brittle and old and had coats of paint all over it...... So I got 20 of these. They fit a 2.5 inch diameter hole perfectly, and have a little lip on the outside and a few small barbs to hold them in the hole. Fit perfectly as replacements. They are painted white, aluminum, have aluminum slats in on the outside, and a nice tight bug screen under that. They fit in good and tight, but I also calked around them and then put a couple screws along the lip to really get them in there solid. Now the raccoon can't yank them out or punch out the screens. Small bugs can't get through either. Seem good quality. Greaaaat success!

They have worked out great. I used 12 of them on a 48"x24" enclosure for a bearded dragon (3 on each side and 6 along the back). Using a 75w heat lamp, they provide adequate ventilation to prevent the inside from heating up too much and from losing too much heat. They fit snugly into a hole drilled with a Milwaukee 2 1/2" hole saw. Best to press in around the edges with your fingers or your thumbs. The louvers will bend with little pressure.

Used these small vents on my shed. They were easy to install, but do bend some because they are not a heavy duty material. Still fit my needs.

I needed a replacement, these are very good.

They're not quite the same size as advertised. I wanted one, not four. Maybe I'll use the other three as cookie cutters.

As expected, these were constructed of very thin aluminum, but will do the job if installed correctly. The problem was the packaging. In a plastic envelope with no support at all, they arrived bent and distorted. I was able to straighten them out to make them usable, but if appearance is important, they would not be acceptable.** Updated to 5 stars **Ordered another set for a different project. These came in a good cardboard box and were received in good condition. Being unbent, they snapped into a 2.5 inch hole firmly and stayed in without adhesive.

After a recent exterior paint project I had to replace the soffit vents that were completely blocked. After some searching I found these and they were perfect. Cost is on par with retailers locally (who didn’t have my exact size) and they’re well made.
