Well presented, well-made, gives good arch support when carefully worn.
This has the potential to really make life easier if you suffer from arch pain or from cramps caused by weaker arches. Over the last year or so, I’ve had a pair of shoes that - I don’t think- was supporting my arch as well as the others I used to wear. For that, or whatever reason, I’ve had some pain in the arch of my right foot, so when I saw these, I thought they might just help. And when worn carefully, they do. But they do need to be worn carefully...The package is well-presented, and the neoprene support itself seems well-made. I’ve seen competitor products and often the stitching is terrible - not so for these ones. The first thing you might want to do, once you’ve checked that the support does fit your foot ok, is to cut off the label. It actually has a dotted line on it where the maker is suggesting you remove it. I wondered why it was there, if the maker knew it would need to be removed (it actually blocks the gel pad for your arch), but I guess it’s down to government or eu regulations. So, once you know you’ll be keeping it, you can go ahead and cut off the label. You can see where I cut mine off in the first photo. The next thing is that you need to wear this over your sock. First for cleanliness, but also because the Velcro fastening will really chafe and irritate the top of your foot if you don’t. I think that is the reason this is a four-star and not a five-star product - the design tapers to a thin Velcro fastening on the top of your foot - only about a centimetre across and with hard Velcro edges. If you wear no socks, or even very thin ones, then I think this could rub or chafe the top of your foot. I tried it to see and couldn’t wear it any longer after just 3-4 hours. When worn over a sock, it’s fine.So does it do the job? The answer there is yes. The gel sits under your arch, cushioning and supporting, and the pain I wrote about at the start of this review is not there when I wear the support. I’ll carry on wearing it (it’s been about a week now), and if the pain returns, or discomfort is noted, then I’ll amend this review. But overall, it does the job well. I just wish the fastening were not so thin - I feel a wider fastener might have exerted less focused pressure and been more comfy on the top of the foot. Ordinary shoes seem to fit over it, and my sock, just fine.In summary- it works, it seems well made, and worn carefully it’s perfectly comfortable too.

Seams are rough and prickly
My hubby suffers from plantar fasciitis which is why he decided to give this padded arch support a try.First impressions - the support itself is nice with a good amount of padding in the middle. One size fits all.My hubby tried it on and he wasn’t very happy with the stitching seams near the velcro, on either end. These seams are rough and prickly to touch but when he put the support on his foot, it hurt his foot. The rough and prickly seams were irritating and painful as they rubbed against his foot. Due to the rubbing, rough seams, he didn’t feel comfortable wearing the support for any length of time.If the stitching was on the outer side than there wouldn’t have been an issue.Sadly, my hubby wasn’t impressed with this arch support.

Comfortable over the sock but it wraps around as it to big
Good idea with this arch support strap. This is made to fit all, but I think it's pretty big and more likely will help person with extra wide or swelling feet. My foot is standard size and the straps with velcro crosses each other long way- one velcro is on the top of the foot and the other fastened underneath my foot, like wrap around. Personally I don't mind it as I wear it on top of my sock so the other velcro which is not fastened, doesnt scratch my foot. The strap looks good, with little padding supporting an arch of foot. Its comfortable and with lots of walking through the day it improves the arch area and reduce aches around the body (foot, leg, back).I give it 4 stars, not 5, because of the "one size" version. To make the proper use of it in would suggest introduce individual sizing of this product so the 2 velcro straps actually can fasten to each other without wrapping it around the arch strap.

Great for plantar fasciitis
I have used quite a few OPROtec products and they’re always well made and provide a good solution to a physical issue. I have arthritis and have problems with my feet and have flares of plantar fasciitis, which is so painful. I wear orthotics which help manage it on a long term basis, but when I have a flare this arch support is ideal for managing the acute phase. The arch support is simple to fit, just pop it under your foot arch and tighten and fasten the velcro strap on top of the foot. It is also comfortable to wear with footwear, I wear it with my trainers and it works really well and I forget that I’m wearing it.I’m not able to comment on value for money as at the time of review no price is listed on the product page, but if you suffer from plantar fasciitis then it will be worth the investment to help reduce the lain in my view! So recommended from me.

Excessive packaging but great product.
When this arrived I was disappointed to see the hugely over-engineered box that this little strap came in. It is more the sort of thing you’d expect an expensive smartphone, or similar piece of tech, to arrive in. Like anyone else, I immediately threw the box in the bin, thinking what a waste that was. I imagine the idea of the flash box is to justify charging a lot for a small neoprene strap. It is easy to fit on either foot and surprisingly unobtrusive in use, very comfortable. I have intermittent feet problems (dropped arches, plantar fasciitis, heel pain). This strap really helps, I use it if I get a twinge and it seems to nip it in the bud as it goes away.
