Great for road rash!
Update 05/10/19: As I've had some recent crashes I have some tips that I've figured out through trial and error. You can indeed cut these to shape but I would allow at least 3/4 to 1 inch overlap past the wound to ensure a good bond to your skin. If you have to go over a joint like an elbow or knee I would apply it with the joint half flexed/bent rather than fully bent. I found the bandage likes to peel up when the joint is not bent if applied when it is fully bent, whereas there is some stretch in the bandage and it can stretch enough and not come off. You can also cut small slits in the bandage where the joint is (allow for some extra bandage coverage here) and then overlap the bandage on top of itself so it doesn't bunch up.These do work really great and allow you to totally avoid the scab part of the healing process. They heal much faster than letting the wound scab over as evidenced by my shins that are still scabbed over compared to my elbow that is fully healed (I injured my elbow a week after the shins!).Original Review:This is the perfect type of bandage for road rash or other bike related scrapes. It sticks well to the unaffected skin around the wound and provides great relief from the pain normally associated with gauze or bandages rubbing against the wound. It does not stick to the wound itself and absorbs the moisture that is released while healing. It lasted around 4-5 days between needing to change it and was waterproof which allowed me to shower without having to change the bandage. You can trim the bandage to size as needed so the larger size worked great for me. While I diligently try not to fall when mountain biking it does happen and this is definitely the bandage to use.

Buy These Instead of Zit Stickers!
This couldn't be a better value for the money! I bought these instead of a package of zit stickers. Just one of these 4x4 pads would replace a whole box of zit stickers for the same price! You can totally use a hole punch to make nice circles to put over zits, or you can just use scissors (keep in mind that circle shapes are less likely to catch on clothing or sheets while sleeping). I've been researching hydrocolloid patches and the science behind these demonstrates the longer you can leave these on, the better - most wounds do not really need to "air out" and this type of "wet healing" works so much better/quicker. However, if you do wear these out in public, they're not "invisible" and none of the zit stickers I've used have been. No patch is really going to lend itself to cover-up well, so if you need it on your face, overnight is really the best option and then just use a new one the next day unless you don't mind people noticing - it's not as obvious as a bandaid, but you can tell they're there. These also work for all sorts of other cuts/abrasions aside from zits. I scraped up my knee pretty badly playing beach volleyball the other week and used a 1.5" square patch on it for a couple days and it worked wonders for healing those scrapes quicker and pulling out all the gross gunk. You can also use these as blister bandages, but be aware that they only pull gunk out of de-roofed blisters, but will still provide some mild cushioning over a blister with its roof intact.Great value for the money! Each 4x4 square comes in individual sterile packaging, and there were enough in the box that I didn't mind giving one to my sister and a friend. These will last for a LONG time.

Great for healing cycling road rash!
I ordered these to cover road rash on my left knee, just below the knee cap. I fell on a Tuesday evening and had been applying non-stick gauzes with thick layers of triple antibiotic ointment. I changed the dressing twice daily and cleaned the wound in the shower every morning. However if you’ve been through this you know the gauze still sticks to the wound. These were delivered in Friday and although I was apprehensive at first they worked perfectly. On Saturday I was able to wear pants over the pad although there was still significant drainage. The pad did not perfectly seal the wound because waking flexed that entire area of the knee and crated air pockets. Since the wound was open I still used antibiotic ointment, washed, and changed these pads daily. By Monday I noticed a significant improvement in the wound. Drainage was minimal and I was able to flex the knee more and with less pain. The pad is great at absorbing the excess moisture without drying out the wound. Whenever I changed the pad I just gently peeled from a corner and worked the entire edge. The pad did not stick to the wound at all. The picture shown is after 8 days of wearing the pads. I no longer dress the wound with anything but moisturize the area with aloe and vitamin E oil after showering. Hope this helps in giving an idea of what to expect.

Great for 'wet' wounds
Bought this after I crashed my mountain bike and had fairly deep gravel rash on my elbow. It seemed like it would never stop weeping and the 'non-stick' gauze they sent me home with from Urgent Care kept sticking to the wound so badly that I had to soak it off. This stuff is brilliant. It's the first time I've used it but glad I have some left over in case of emergency. It sticks well and the white parts on the dressing is not puss or anything disgusting, it's the gel in the dressing that does some kind of magic on the weeping parts of the wound to keep them moist and let them scab over. The photo is on my elbow, so looks a bit strange, but used 3 of these changing them every 2 days before I transitioned to Tegaderm.
