The Book of the Moon: Discovering Astrology's Lost Dimension Paperback – April 12, 2013

Steven Forrest is a most generous teacher! With his open, warm, and engaging writing style, he conveys his message beautifully. This book is a treasure. His insights and fresh way of looking at the phases and relationships of the moon just click into place and help to trigger a deep knowing that I think we all carry. Steven Forrest is the blessed teacher who has come to help us all wake up.

As per usual, you can never really go wrong with Steven Forrest. Although I must admit, the first part of the book did feel a little rushed to me, but once he starts talking about the Moon's phases, it's basically as thorough as one can hope. Highly recommend if you want to learn about what the various phases mean, and how they also apply in Secondary Progressions.

There is so much to know about the moon and how it affects who we are. Steven Forrest tells it all.

Damn, this is a very thorough analysis of the Moon. It is so fundamental to our psyche and it is closest to Earth so it is appropriate to take the time to extract every last piece of information from it. Again Steven Forrest is always able to describe the psychological influence from the inside, what it feels like for the native with that placement, which personally I really appreciate. There is some novel contributions to the topic here, breaking down the various ways the Moon expresses itself within us, and the tour de force here is perhaps to analyze the phase of the moon and to identify 8 archetypes from that, which have come from an extensive analysis of people he knows. It rings true in my practice, and adds more to the story of the natal chart that is valuable. Very readable as are all of Steven's books, highly recommended

I am new to Steven Forrest's work but am an instant, avid fan! His writing style & points of view are truly indispensable to this natal astrologer. I have practiced for 40 years & deeply appreciate the fresh insights he brings. I found myself getting excited & saying, "Yes, Yes, Yes!" repeatedly as I read. Steven, I am buying all of your books (one at a time or I'll go broke) & am currently inhaling The Book of Neptune. Keep them coming! This is truly the Astrology for the 21st Century that I have craved. It's putting all the pieces together. How I missed this fabulous work until now, has me shaking my head...too many years focused on the classical star gazers & newbies whose contributions just left me flat, I can only assume.

Steven Forrest presents several new insights into interpreting the Moon in a chart. Out of Bounds moon, (which I have); looking at the progressed lunar phase between progressed moon and progressed sun, not just progressions to natal positions and more. I have this as both an audio book and hardbound.

I have been using the phases of the moon and birth moon lore for many years. I highly recommend it. This book was well written and added to my knowledge. I also recoomend the Lunarium website.

I really enjoyed this insightful examination of our understanding of the Moon. Steven Forrest invites us to consider the phase of the Moon as an extra dimension to our personality and our evolutionary journey. Before launching in to that though, there is a comprehensive investigation into the way we see the Moon and her role in our lives and journeys. It's easy to read, thought provoking, and provides plenty of good material to work with. If you are a practising astrologer, evolutionary or otherwise, this will refresh and inspire your approach to working with the Moon. If you are a student just buy it, read it, work with it. Highly recommend.
