I used to measure out & pour ground flax seed into my fruit & vegetable smoothies I made every morning. But, over the past couple months, my life has been one huge hectic crazy busy mess & I need anything I can to save time & make my life easier. I stopped making smoothies for the time being so I needed a way to continue taking my daily dose of flax seed. I decided to give these softgels a try & they have worked well. 90 gels come in a bottle, so they will last you 1 to 3 months, depending on how many you take per day. I only take one per day in the morning so this is a 3 month supply for me personally, which is a major pro. The gels are large (as shown in my photo next to the quarter), but they're super smooth so they are still easy to swallow. They have no flavor or weird smell, which I seriously love. So far I have been pleased with them, but the reason I am deducting a star is because for some unnecessary reason, caramel color is an ingredient added to these softgels. Caramel color is completely unnecessary and I wish companies would stop adding any and all unnecessary ingredients to consumable products! With that being said, though, these are still working great for me & I am happy I now have an extremely convenient way to get my daily dose of flax seed in.

I ran out of fish oil a month ago and was turned onto flax seeds however regular flax seeds would get stuck in my cavities and cause an infection so bad i would end up in the ER, so i tried pureeing them and same thing tiny shards of it would end up in my broken tooth and would cause all kinds of havoc. So a friend told me about the Zahler flax seed oil. I never knew this company also made flax seed oil! I have tried a few of their products but never knew about this one! So i figured what the heck the others i tried were good lets check this one out. Low and behold its been awhile how about i feel a ton better, no nasty burps like you get with fish oil, no nasty flavor, my hair loves it and has grown a half an inch and my nails love it too they are starting to grow again! Yes YES YES!! I found a new way to have my cake and eat it too! No more messy grinding and not getting a good paste, no more getting the seed stuck in my tooth or gums! No more fighting to find it in stores. no more wasting minutes preparing to start grinding, i have it in a pill form that is pure as me doing it myself. Not only has this saved my poor teeth but my poor hands from squeezing the oil out and then having to freeze it with water to get the purest cold press, its all done for me! Thank goodness for that my hands, hair and nails thank you!

Flax seed oil has ALOT of health benefits. I use it bc I have R.A. I noticed that it has helped my joints, they do not hurt as much. I started taking this and within three days of using, I noticed that I could focus on my work more easily. I get easily distrracted due to pain from my R.A, so its important as a business owner( Thread Theory LLC8295 on Fb), to be able to focus and stay focused on the job at hand. This has been wonderful in helping me focus on my tasks. It has numberous health benefits, such as Mental, physical, and for your skin. It is rich in Omega 3 Fatty Acids, which your body needs. It has so many health benefits I can't even tell you how good it is for you. You can apply it to the skin, however this is a capsule for consumption. I also noticed after about 4 days that it helps with my constipation due to all the meds I am on. So to wrap it up, if you want some omega 3 benefits try this. If you have constipation, this is a great thing to try as it has several health benefits including helping with constipation. I will update if anything changes or I notice anymore side affects, or if I notice any problems. But I do not forsee any problems.

Very good supplement, great price and I love that there are 90 capsules. You get a lot for a good price, way cheaper than retail stores. Plus these are cold pressed which is what you should look for when it comes to flax seed. And 1000mg per unit is a fairly high dosage so you really only need one a day depending upon your specific needs and what your Dr recommends. The one thing I wasn't thrilled about though is that the capsules are pretty large, they're practically horse pills so if you're like me and dont like swallowing pills then these can be a challenge. Also im not sure if its because they were thrown around in transit or what but a few of them...not all but maybe 2-3 so far thats I've come across have been slightly damaged in a way. As if the coating was damaged and it left a horrible taste in my mouth. Other than that I have not had any negative effects or issues.

I was taking Estroven multi-symptom but they only recommend using for 60 days. After that, my body seemed to have built a resistance to it. My co-worker said she started taking flax seed pills for her hair and nails and noticed her hot flashes had stopped. As soon as the words were out of her mouth, I walked to the nearest smoothie place and ordered a smoothie with flax seed and have been putting it in my smoothies ever since (Two Months). It seriously works! It also helped with daily headaches I'd been having. I read that the ground flax seed can go bad so I bought whole flax seed. Even with my ninja it didn't seem to completely grind up and I started having hot flashes and insomnia again though not as strong. I don't always have the time to make smoothies in the morning anyway so I decided to try these capsules. So far, they are working just as well. I'm even happier taking something with natural ingredients rather than the Estroven.
