Heavy-Duty Diagonal Cut Pliers Grip 7-5/16"

This is my 2nd one. Had one of these for 15 years. I found in the street! Must have fallen off a truck...Anyway, I have just ABUSED it year after year. Use it as a hammer, cut stuff I shouldn't, use it as the wrong tool for the right job, just everything... and it STILL works like the day I found it (who knows how long the first guy had it).I've looked at it over and over again trying to figure out how it works so good when ALL of my tools are just dead after a few years from the abuse I put them through.Anyway, I had to buy a 2nd for doomsday. Good side cutters, work well.

My father used to sell Proto tools in the 1950s - 60s. I've got several pair of the old 209 Diagonal Cutters. They have a couple of small dings in the cutting edges, but they can still cut hair after 40 years of use.I thought I might get some new ones that had better edges. That was a mistake! After two years of occasional use the blade edges have a number of dings in them. They're soft! I could have saved money and got better tools by buying Chinese!To add insult to injury, my complaint letter to Proto went unanswered. I guess they are either overwhelmed with complaints, or they just don't care!My dad would be rolling in his grave if he saw how Proto's quality has deteriorated over time (other tools, too). It's a shame to pay so much and get so little.

These diagonal cutting pliers work great, I would have expected nothing less from Proto. They’re a little pricey but I guess you usually get what you pay for. I’d recommend this product.

it cuts very well, but i found them too small it misses about 2 inch.
