Must have for a perfectly sloped shower pan
We used this in a total shower rebuild. Very easy to install and customize even for less experienced or DIY tile workers. Simple and clear directions. Took the stress out of the process for us! So nice to be able to order what we needed and have it delivered to our doorstep. Only one possible wish to improve would be to add more staves/supports. It would have been nice to have 8 rather than 6 but it worked fine. It worked so well that after it was installed, I never noticed even one irregularity or undulation in the pan as I installed the tile in the shower. I will definitely be using this again as we update our home and our STR/Airbnb properties.

makes slope pretty near perfect, not quite enough sticks for showers, standard or just a bit bigger. for what the cost is, a couple of extra sticks would be nice, or do you have to buy another complete kit just for that. I made it work without the additional purchase but it can be a pain in the a....

No experience required
I have never done anything like making my own shower- and this kit made me feel confident I could do it :)I probably could have used two more sticks but I made it work with a level and a piece of wood to scrape across the tops of the sticks.I used both the prepitch and quick pitch. I have laid the tile and just need to gout- but it looks all nicely sloped to the drain :)I’ll add a pic when it’s all done!

No guesswork
Or abundance of skill required. Made maintaining the proper slope very easy for this first timer. If I was to do another shower floor I might opt for the pre formed single piece. Quite a bit more money than mortar, but you'll save a lot of time and they're guaranteed to be leakproof. But, if it's gonna be mortar, these are worth the money and then some.

Would be great if there were instructions
Definitely not goof proof. This came no instructions in the box. Trying to figure it out from videos online reveal there were items missing from my kit and items from different manufacturers that do not fit together. Basically, I wasted $160. Do not recommend. Don’t waste your money.

Great product
This is my third shower build. I've built all with the Quick Pitch system. Easy to use, follow instructions and you can't go wrong.

Pictures misrepresent product - Frustrating!
While helpful, there are not enough sticks to complete a 3'x5' shower in accordance with the directions. Eight Pre-Pitch and eight Quick Pitch sticks are needed if you place the sticks, per the directions, no more than 2.5 feet apart (both the 3' sides and the 5' sides must be bisected, and sticks placed in four corners as well for a total of 8 sticks). Eight sticks is also how the product is demonstrated by the manufacturer in 3X5 installations images (because it makes sense! - see attached installation picture of 36"x56" pan). The cost of the required two additional sticks is likely pennies, but Mark E Industries seems to have no problem leaving customers stuck in the middle of an installation. The kit should come with eight sticks, or size of the illustrated installation reduced to 2.5' x 5' showers.
