The spray came out nice and evenly from the nozzle and the button needed very little pressure from my index finger to use. Dried quickly. I bought the MATT finish and it certainly achieves that. I do think that I prefer a SATIN finish that has a slight hint of gloss but that is a personal preference.

Having searched on amazon for 'clear acrylic spray' lacquer this product came up and only after I used it and smelt the vapour I could see it is solvent (acetone) based. this is okay as fortunately I had applied some coats of acrylic (water based) previosly on top of a matt polyurethane brushed varnish bas coat. Had I sprayed this onto the PU lacquer directly it would have acted as a paint stripper! Clear labelling is required please by Amazon. Whether its solvent based or acrylic both give out toxic fumes when spraying. Drying time berween coats is slower than acrylic and being an aerosol will need many coats to build up a lacquer. It dries to a satin, not matt finish.

Used for finishing an oak towel rail. Covered very well with 2 coats, dries very quickly and provides a smooth matt finish.

I bought this spray varnish to finish off a guitar but, as a previous review pointed out, it is too difficult to hold the button down to achieve a smooth and even spray. When I read that other review I just thought that she was not strong enough so she asked her husband to help. I am not a small bloke and consider myself as 'strong enough' , but no. I tried warming the can in case it was a flow problem and I swapped the button in case the nozzle was clogged but it did not help. It is just very difficult to use.I frequently use spray paints and varnishes but this was easily the most difficult, if not impossible to use.I cannot comment on the heat resistance, not the durability because I am not going to use it.Maybe there is a batch of these out there as others did not seem to suffer the same fate,
