This is not the least bit waterproof
I ordered this for my daughter since we live in warm southern California and are going to "visit the snow" and she needs appropriate clothing. We bought clothes from REI and I was hoping to get a better price and spotted this - the specific color was discounted even more because it must not have been as popular. At any rate, the jacket felt far thinner than I expected after reading reviews talking about its warmth. I put it under the running water to confirm that it would be waterproof for the snow and water came in nearly immediately through the unprotected/reinforced zipper and elsewhere. I pulled out the more expensive REI jacket to be sure it was water proof and I wasn't remembering incorrectly from when I'd first done the water test and sure enough - not a drop went through. It's great to save money, but not if the product doesn't actually do what it says. This might not be an issue for someone who lives in the snow and can easily and quickly layer up at home (and dry off there as well) but for us needing something to stay warm and toast and dry since we don't have all of those other items and won't be right outside of our own front door, this definitely wouldn't do the trick. So, as much as I wanted to love and keep it, it went right back to Amazon as a return. Thank goodness for free returns on clothing!

Great for winter fun. Loose fitting jacket.
This is a good winter snow set. I like that the pants and the bib style that come up over the shoulders. This provides a little extra warmth around the body and makes than easy to take on and off. The jacket and snow pants and filled with a light insulation than makes the outfit warm and allows kids to play freely without bulk or extra weight. The jacket has snap at the top that’s useful for stopping the little one taking it off when we are out and about. I will say that the jacket it loose lifting around the body and wrists. This means there us plenty of growing room but I do worry that it might let some cool air in. It is waterproof.

Great Snow Set, Just Runs SLIGHTLY Small
Ordered this for my small-framed almost-4-year old after trying on some 3t and 4t products at the Columbia outlet (he wears 3t in EVERYTHING). 4t jackets seemed too big on him (as most Columbia outerwear seems to generally run big), 3t jackets seemed to fit great at the outlet, and I only had the size chart to go by for the bib (as the XXS kids size bib was HUGE on him). Both the jacket and the bib on this set were too short on him upon arrival. I had to return this and overnight a 4t set (the slightly differently Double Flake set), which fit GREAT, and will likely work next year with the great "Outgrown" system that Columbia uses on their kids' outerwear. I know it's always hard to tell how things will fit across different styles, and I LOVED the pattern and weight of this Frosty Slope jacket, so I was sad it didn't work out.

Fits my very tall 6 year old.
Great quality. Has a nice feature that allows you to make the sleeves and pants longer by 1.5” if needed so it can grow with your child. My daughter is 6 and very tall for her age. She is 49.9” and the pants fit great with some room after I extended the length. The jacket fits perfect with the extension. It would have been just to small for my very tall 6 year old if it didn’t have this feature.

Fits great! She’s 2
Fits great! She’s 2.5 and the 3T is perfect. I was very surprised that the set is a grow with me! Such an added bonus and extends the life of the suit. The coat arm length and leg length extend when she grows bigger. This will last the rest of this season and next! Great product!

Great snow option
Though they said it was for boys, I think it’s a great gender neutral snowsuit. Fits well and is warm.

Grow-with me hem!!
Great quality. Good waterproofing on pants. The pants were short on my 4.5 year old but was able to take down the hem which was awesome!! So now they fit perfectly!
