Old school tool for a new generation.
These are the classic flex nibs artists used before digital came on the scene. Variable width lines give your art that "pop" which using simple mechanical single width lines does not and this particular #101 makes the finest lines of any I've tried. (the hunt #99 is close and more durable)I learned about them trading comic tips with Larry Welz (creator of cherry pop tart) and I love them. They can do ultra-fine lines and widen out to a beautiful wide swath. You'll note they come in boxes of many... they don't last forever and depending on what ink you use, you do have to clean them after each use or they will rust prematurely.Like all art, what works for one person might not work for the next. This type of ink drawing requires a smooth hand to get smooth lines.... if that's not you (and it's not entirely me either) and you REALLY need smooth lines, then I suggest using a black prismacolor colored pencil for inking a la Mark Crilley (check out his manga books) to achieve the same effect.I have a worried thought at least once a month concerned that Hunt may stop making these due to lack of sales and I keep buying them to get a stockpile. Digital is nice but there is some heart and soul that a file from your Cintiq just isn't going to have compared with dirty physical media.I'll put this in the advanced old-school tool category and suggest that people interested in the process of art or that unique physical media look give it a try just to see how things used to be done.

Sharp and Flexible for Copperplate and Spencerian
The Speedball Nib hunt 101 are super sharp and flexible, perfect to get those contrast lines (thick and thin) found in Copperplate and Spencerian scripts. These are very delicate and easy to bend, are literaly the opposite of the G nibs, which are very sturdy. Be careful, these nibs are more fragile because of that!I really recomend thick inks, more pigmented like inks.

For Jinhao X750
These are great! Used Dremel to taper the bottom and put it in a Jinhao fountain pen. Now I have a true flex nib fountain pen!

Garbage
These nibs are garbage. Out if the 10 nibs only 4 are useable. I will not but from this seller again. All of the nibs pictured are misaligned or the tines don’t touch each other. Very disappointing.
