Works great and low cost
This didn't come with instructions. I don't know if that's normal or if mine were just missing, but I just watched a video of the set-up and it was pretty intuitive to put together. We have two doodle pups and didn't quite realize the price of keeping them both groomed! Crazy expensive, so we decided to try grooming ourselves. I tried using a harness and leash to keep my smaller dog in place while I groomed her and it was just a big hairy mess and my back was so sore... plus she looked ridiculous. So we purchased this. I set it up on a low coffee table and it was amazing! I was able to move all around her and easily scoop the hair into a bucket. Once you figure out how to tighten the bolts correctly (it takes a little effort the first time setting up) it is very sturdy. The two "leashes" kept her in place without being tight around her neck and stomach. I haven't groomed our bigger and more rambunctious pup yet so I will send a picture of the actual set-up and update my review after I groom him.

Lower your expectations
This headline describes exactly for following reasons: One, the holes to attach the lanyard leash which holds the dog is DRILLED into the arm, so this makes a bit tricky for my fingers to hook the leash spring clip. Where as some other competitor grooming arms have soldered or removable screw with loop head to easily attach spring clip. So I took this one to hardware store and got right size screw in loop head to solve this issue. Two, the knob on the clamp pole, which tightens the arm height, seems to rely on your muscle... I would think the knob's screw would fit into the drilled hole to hold in place, I tried every which way possible to all four holes. Hence questioning sturdiness. I ordered small size for my Isa Shih Tzu. In seller's defense, because this arm seems to be used either long or short, the soldered loop head screw would be impossible in design sense, but maybe future productions can use removable screw loop head so that versatility is enhanced. In summary, this will work if you are not too finicky like I am. As a beginner groomer, I ordered as the least expensive so will use this for now, and perhaps in future I will gain experience to decipher pros and cons... I did get value for what I paid for this item.

Sturdy, affordable, and easy to set up
We were looking for an arm to hold our dog while we were grooming him and this arm was perfect for him. We managed to assemble the entire contraption in about 5 minutes and then we were able to start working on our dog. The arm is able to be adjusted for both larger and smaller dogs by using the screws on the arm. No tools were required. For disassembly, we just unscrewed the piece holding the arm to the table and then we swing the arm the other way for an easy way to put it away. Highly recommended to help with dog grooming instead of wrestling with the dog constantly!

Not very stable.
Unless you have a dog that's under 10 lbs, don't hesitate to contact the groomers! The bar that is across the top is ok, but it's just not solid or stable. Pretty sad about it.

Too weak
The holes where the clips for the noose is ridiculousUnless you have a very well behaved dog in tat case you won’t even need this armOn the other hand the noose works well on my other study arm

Good Quality Product
The instructional diagram needs major improvement, being the sole reason I didn’t rate 5 stars. The product itself, once figured out that is, appears to be good quality but I’m beginning to question its sturdiness capability after testing by applying pressure to the top bar while clamped, which moved easily & without any resistance. Hopefully it’ll last long enough to clip my husky’s nails, which is the only reason for purchasing. If it does, the value of just on use will be well worth it.
