Rapid Prep Surface Cleaner for Vinyl Graphics Wraps and Decals 128 Ounce / 1 Gallon

We use this almost daily at our vinyl wrap shop to remove old dried up adhesive. It’s quite possibly the best stuff out there. Spray it on, wait about a minute until your plastic scraper easily pushes all the way through all the glue and then scrape off. Neutralize the remaining bit with water (we use a “homemade” general purpose cleaner which consists of water, a little dish soap and a splash of bleach) and wipe away the remaining bit with a rag or paper towel.Not harmful to skin but it will dry it out. We wear gloves.

Great product works great to prep surfaces before wrapping them with vinyl. I've purchased several times even though the product lasts pretty long. Doesn't need a lot if product to work effectively

Not necessary just clean with alcohol and save some $ or rapid tac.

Just wasted an entire day designing, vectoring and plotting a hood graphic. Since this was a big decal I decided to use Rapid prep and rapid tac for the first time. I will never make that mistake again. Followed the directions , cleaned hood twice with Rapid Prep, then dried and cleaned with Rapid Tac. dried again and sprayed with Rapid Tac and left wet. Applied the vinyl and as soon as I started I knew there were going to be problems, the vinyl was just sliding around and not sticking at all. I PRESSED ON, I managed to get it on. I thought maybe that is an unpublished " feature" that allows you to reposition. Waited about 2 minutes ( some had actually been closer to 30 since I started), sprayed the application paper again. Squeegy again and I can see the decal is still lifting off the surface!!!! I keep squeegying hoping that I am just seeing things. Start to pull the application paper off and the entire decal is coming up with it. So I wasted $40 on Rapid Prep & Rapid Tac , an entire day and probably a customer since I told them it would be done tonight and there is no way to start over and recut the entire thing now.

Use this to clean the area before applying vinyl. Could be used to clean particles that may have got onto vinyl before adhesion.

I have never tried to apply a large vinyl graphic to a car before. Then I watched a video and saw this stuff was recommended and bought some. Since then I've done several vinyl graphic applications on my cars. It's a bit pricey but you can't beat the results. It's probably worth it's weight in gold considering all the time and vinyl that is saved using it.Don't go cheap on your car, buy RapidTac if you want to apply some graphics and you'll be surprised at the great results.

It is good but not the strongest as some other reviewers mentioned. A lot of stickers and masking tap glue cannot be removed from car panels and glass. I give it second rank after other stronger products.
