This is a very nice desk and I really liked the options on where to place the keyboard tray. It provides a lot of working space and adequate storage. It was easy to assemble, but it did take a LONG time (about 4 hours) to do so, as there is a ton of hardware to install. A great value and nice looking!

Have been looking for a nice looking desk without spending too much. First the amazon delivery was on time and professional. The desk does take some time to build. However in three hours it can be done with two people without too much trouble. Looks great.. Mine had no blemishes. It is the "fake" wood but seems sturdy and doesn't cost the prices of real wood. You get what you pay for. For the money, I am happy.

I've purchased other Sauder products and have come to expect a certain standard. This didn't disappoint. The dark Cherry finish is very nice, sturdy and since it was packed extremely well, there are no chips or other irregularities in the pieces.My husband is very experienced in assembling this type of furniture and once he figured out what the directions were saying, it was just time consuming after that. It took him about 4 1/2 hours to assemble. He said the directions were written clearly; he just had a bit of an understanding problem in the beginning.The hardware is very nice. The cabinet door opens especially smoothly and has a soft-closing feature to the hinges.The parts were cleverly packaged individually and marked well. All the pieces were marked. During the final assembly, we noticed that the hanging file drawer rubbed very slightly against one side of the opening but once the file hangers were put on and I added hanging files, that worked itself out.I would have given this product a five star if I weren't so picky. Issue #1: The brads that hold the thin pieces (the backs) in place were silver-colored and should have been black or brown. My desk is not against a wall so they show. Issue #2: Those thin pieces (referenced in the first issue) have sides that are raw, like blonde wood. Against this dark cherry finish, they are very noticeable. A dark brown or black sharpie will take care of both of those issues. Perhaps some warning in the directions could have been given so that could be done before assembly.Overall, I'm very pleased with the desk and am glad I purchased it.

My Sauder desk was assembled for me by family. It is a 2 person job. Took a number of hours. It is sturdy and attractive. It was missing the bottom part to the deep drawer but I went on their site, entered information requested with model and part number. It was shipped free to me in a few days. Very pleased with Sauder. Only issue was in tracking it said it was damaged and would try to deliver anyway. I saw this and cancelled my order. Well I a got a call from the delivery company they would be at the house in ten minutes. I said I cancelled it as it was damaged! They asked if I wanted it or not. Well I took it as box had a small tear but desk was not damaged and was fine. Main issue is getting the exact desk I ordered from another company cancelled, since I thought mine was cancelled from Sauder as being said it was damaged. Well it all worked out well. Second desk cancelled in time before delivery and credit card refunded. In the end love my new L Shape desk.

It's mostly particle board but it's a solid desk and looks good. It does take time to put together but isn't horrible.When it arrived, I started assembling and when I pulled the large top piece out of the box I found a large crushed dent in the edge. I was worried I would need to live with it or return the heavy package that I'd already unpacked. But, I went to the Sauder website and simply requested a replacement top piece. I was surprised they shipped it out that same day for no charge, and it arrived in perfect condition. So with that said, if you are worried about pieces arriving damaged, don't worry too much since you can just request free replacement from Sauder.

Pros.The instructions were ok, could have been better. The desk feels sturdy (for the money). The look is also nice.Cons.This desk took about 2 hours to assemble (A bit long for a desk).The keyboard tray is a terrible design (location-wise), it needs to be pulled forward about 6 inches for more clearance. (seriously) My hand literally hits the desk when I try to push the escape key (pic). Almost 1\4 of the mouse area is covered up by the desk and my hand constantly hits it while using my mouse (pic).The unit that I received, the drawers are misaligned and do not sit flush against the desk and do not close properly (pic).Overall, I am disappointed with this desk and I'm not going to return it because it was a pain to assemble and I'm not going to waste hours tearing it down, packing it up, dragging it to a shipper and be without a desk for at least a week and get another one, spend 2 more hours assembling it. Honestly not worth it.So, I guess I'm stuck with this desk for several years now. If you want good clearance for your keyboard and mouse without constantly hitting your hands on the overlapping desk, this desk is NOT for you.

It's a beautiful desk and very sturdy. Worth the money. Easy to follow directions. 3 1/2 hours to assemble with 2 people. Delivery was exceptional, delivered when stated, the delivery company called me the day before and day of delivery which was great.
