From the Godfather to God the Father: The Michael Francise Story

An excellent book, I missed out the religious part as I have a Bible already. That is the last couple of chapters n I'd avoid "The Beauty" chapter as all I'm interested in is the La cosa nostra " (this thing of ours) n the prison part. The Beauty part was boring, going on about how he met his wife etc. Stick to the gangster stuff. Save time n effort

Great read, my only gripe is this book feels like it has been physically cut down in size. The pages are missing letters at the bottom. You can still read it, but half of the words on the bottom of the page have disappeared ? Michael Franzese is a real goodfella and I love his work :) even though this book seems a little cut in places, I will be buying more of his books.

First half is a fantastic read, really great… but about half way through to the end it focuses heavily on religion and it’s impact in his life, but with a lot of “you should try believing in it too” type wording. Great book, I love Franzese, hence why I wanted to learn more about him, but second half felt a little tasky to get through. I just wanted to learn more about his history, not how much he loves Jesus.I’d still read it though if I were you! His writing flows beautifully and keeps you compelled through the dramatic moments he describes in his past life or ‘THE LIFE’ should I say.

Clear, concise writing, giving an insight to his life before and after God reached him. A good read for friends who had a tough upbringing, who need to know God is there even in their darkness
