Rack-A-Tiers 18455 Wire Tub - Coil Wire Dispenser

I bought this wire dispenser because I was often given the job detail of running thousands of feet of Romex wire by myself. For those of us who have to navigate the Romex from one room to the other through a sleeve of some sort or another, you know how exceptionally aggravating that can get when or if that Romex begin to twist or curl, it begins to tangle or bend into a knot; therefore preventing the installer from reaching the intended destination for termination without going back to straighten it out, which could cause a small fortune of time. This wire dispenser totally, and I mean totally eliminates this hassle... There are times when I unwind the Romex by hand due to a shorter run, and I now realize how much concentration and time is needed to roll the wire out and keep it straight for installation. One note for sure, Owners and General Contractor hate to see twisted and uneven Romex installed on their construction project and will take the next electrical contractor in consideration when it's bidding time on more crucial residential projects, shabby installation of romex is also a red flag for Electrical Inspectors... Once you've used this tub. you're spoiled forever...

Doesn't fit all mc brands too thick in middle

I expected for 3 times the price of the blue wire reels for this to perform a little better. Wouldn't pull romex, period - first reel it just dragged the whole thing across the cement, second reel it was too wide to fit. Maybe this works better for MC cable, but since I need it primarily for romex (and it's advertised to work for it), it's completely uselesss for me. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 star is because they refunded my money.

Great idea, as a electrician I built one out of a lazy Susan 30 years ago, but my design didn't have sides high enough, so I spent more time than I would have liked rewinding the wire when it would tangle up! Tub design and hole out side is just ingenious! I will be purchasing more of these real soon! Thanks for a great product.

Works awesome. Wish I had bought this years ago. I pull a lot of wires working on the house alone and was always messing with tangled messes when unspooling long runs until now.

I've read others reviews of this reel and the reviews were mixed. It works fine for me. Have used with MC cable and romex with no issues. I'm about to buy another one so ...

This wire reel is very well built. I'm unsure why it comes with removable spacers as Mc cable and nmb cable does not fit around them even at the innermost spacing. Mine actually came out of the back of my truck on the highway and survived unscathed. Would definitely recommend and will buy another.
