The hand surgeon recommended I purchase this wrist brace and it works amazing.I definitely notice the pain is less when I wake up in the morning after wearing it overnight. When I forget, I have more pain in the base of the thumb joint throughout the day for sure.It's stable without being stiff, it's comfortable, and I can wash it when it gets dirty.It's a great design. Much better than other wrist braces that used to hurt my wrist, they were so stiff.In terms of size, I used the chart and it's a perfect fit. Highly recommend.

I was a little hesitant to buy this because of the price, it's fairly expensive considering the other thumb protector I also bought on Amazon that was only $10 (Reversible Thumb & Wrist Stabilizer - which is also very good BTW.) That said, this one is clearly higher end, very good quality soft neoprene like material, soft and gentle feeling. Better thumb support. Surprisingly, as much as it wraps around your thumb it's not bulky and is very comfortable. It leaves more of the palm exposed than any other of the 4-5 thumb holders I have. I have thumb arthritis -the joint at the base of my thumb can be painful, it swells, it gets red, sometimes difficult to do simple tasks like opening jars, etc. and this is great. It' can't solve my problem but it sure makes me forget about it. It may look slightly bulky and does have an extra strap that comes from the wrist, goes around the thumb and Velcro's back at the wrist BUT that slight "extra" strap is slim & adds just a teeny bit of extra bulk really isn't noticed and doesn't hinder movement in anyway - the material is so soft, you don't notice, it just gives more protection and support which is great. Highly recommend overall!I do agree with the questions of some other reviewers about the fact that it tells you to measure the palm of your hand at the knuckles and yet, there is nothing around your knuckles. It wraps at the wrist. So yeah, odd that they have you measure the knuckle width as opposed to the wrist however it fit me perfect! On that note, the width of my palm came out to 7 ¼" so I ordered the 7-8" medium - I probably could have ordered the 7 ¼" - 8 ¼" medium as well. FYI my particular wrist is fairly tiny, just 6" so if I had a bigger wrist then maybe you'd want to order a size upI f you're in-between sizes or close, I'd go the size up.

I got left and right hand.Note in pic...left hand has stitching all around and down the thumb strap. Right hand does not and is now falling apart. When you get yours, be sure they are stitched.I see in the product pics, the stitching is not there, so maybe it's a new feature? It is an important feature.I wear about 3days/month and have had for about a year.

I actually thought this was for the left hand, which is the one that is more painful. I do use it for the right hand and it gives needed relief on that hand, though not total relief.I don't know about the durability, as it is a recent purchase. I hope it lasts. It does look strong. There is always the durability issue with Velcro, which tends to lose effectiveness after a while.

I like that this brace is not hard. It covers the thumb joints to help with even the pain up the finger. This gives good support and can be worn to bed. You can wash it. The physical therapist recommended a neoprene splint, and the plastic rubber type that supports the base of the thumb. I had CMC arthroplasty surgery.

Worked well for a while but falling apart rather quickly. Don't recommend.

I purchased this wrist support for a work related injury. It is very comfortable and provides just enough support. Flexible fabric and washable.

Supports my arthritic thumb very well. Material is sturdy and strong. Sizes are very accurate.

My sister had bought these from the hospital as that is what they recommended and so glad I found them on amazon. I'm glad I could try hers on first so I knew correct size as they are really work!!!

Was pleased with the fit and support. Material frayed around the thumb in a matter of weeks. I have trimmed it numerous times with the same result. Brace does the job but is not very nice looking now.

This was exactly the thumb brace I was looking for..holds the thumb in place but I am able to use my wrist with no restriction
