Most precision low range control LP burner
This is as good as LP burners get. I've yet to see as precision low flame simmering ability from other LP stoves. It's closer to the performance of a nice natural gas kitchen stove. Pictures: The succotash used the low range to sauté to perfection, but yet it'll still crank up higher than most kitchen stoves to quickly cook a whole package of bacon in a just a few minutes. I ponied up for the electric igniter without prejudice, because some customers might not want it, so having it separate keeps the price lower for them. It really needs 'LS'BABQ Adjustable Leg Levelers' so you get it an even level of oil/grease in a large pan. I keep a magnetic torpedo level on it all the time. Pro Chef is the right name for this stove.

Rock solid stove! Used for roasting coffee, but the possibilites are endless
Pictures don't really show the sturdy construction or impressive size of the Pro 30. I'm currently using it without the leg extensions, but they are just as solid as the rest of the unit. With a 14x16 inch cooking area, it can handle quite a load.I do a LOT of outside cooking, including roasting my own coffee. I had been using a 12,000 BTU side burner on an old, rusted out gas grill to roast green coffee beans, but the side burner recently died and I had no interest in refurbishing the gas grill. I needed a new stove for roasting coffee beans. After considering all the options, I chose the Camp Chef Pro 30. I'm glad I did.Roasting coffee beans on the side burner limited me to calm, no wind days for the quickest roast. Roasting a pound of coffee usually took 19-21 minutes; longer in any wind. The wind was howling with gusts to 25 MPH for my first coffee roast with the Pro 30, a true test of the stove. After adjusting the air intake behind the low-med-high knob, I had a flame that held up nicely to the wind. With the Pro 30, in the strong wind, I roasted a pound of green coffee in 12 minutes on the medium setting!I've been roasting coffee for about two years, on average one roast every 7 days. The wind will no longer be a factor and the Pro 30 will save me a lot of time. I own the Camp Chef Rainier table top stove for camping, and can serve 2-4 people easily with it, but could not use it for roasting coffee with the 10" Dutch oven I use. With the Pro 30 and a big pot of chili, stew, or soup, I'll be able to serve a large family. For the $70 I paid for the Pro 30 here on Amazon, it is a GREAT value!

Wish I had found this sooner.
We bought this to use on our deck, cooking on the electric range can make a mess such as sauteed/fried food & I got tired of the greasy stovetop and the smells inside the house. This portable gas cooker gets really hot (we have never had a gas range or a gas grill) - we have a charcoal Weber grill. We like the flip lid that turns into a little side table.Dislike: Once you put the legs on, be careful when moving because they can fall off. LOL. We bought a cover for it because if got rained on & the grate was starting to rust. It has a flip lid that covers the grate but water gets in there. There is not a cover made to fit this gas cooker, so we had to make do with what we could find but it does keep it dry.

Love the stove
Have always been a fan of Camp Chef. I also have the two burner stove and love that too. The heat output is what does it for me. With the 30000 but what is not to like. The stove should already come with leg adjusters that I bought separately but otherwise still a stove I would recommend.

Compact & Power Under Control
I wanted a compact stove for camping out of my 4x4 with a small utility trailer. This size would also be good for camping with a pickup truck. The stove and 15lb tank are probably too big for car camping and obviously too heavy for backpacking -- I mention that because I also have backpacking stoves.Smaller, lightweight stoves don't have the durability or the speed to cook a larger volume of food for three or four people. This is a step-up from smaller Coleman-type propane stove. Although the suitcase stoves would pack smaller in a vehicle, I had one before and found it wimpy. I can also use this Camp Chef in the backyard. It beats my 36" range top's best 18,000 BTU burner. So this is bigger, tougher and more powerful than a suitcase-type camp stove, and yet it's compact enough that it won't take up a large portion of a pickup bed or 4x4 trailer. If you don't need it to be portable, a 2 or 3 burner unit might be better.30,000 BTU gets hot enough for most styles of cooking and it has good control over the flame. If you're cooking with a wok or boiling a large pot of water, then you'll want ~200,000BTU/hr. For my use, this one more than suffices because it still boils water faster than my cooktop in the house and I can also simmer.Everything seems to be built with quality. It's a pity it's made in China rather than the USA.In use, I've found this stove to do very poorly in the wind. A 15 mph wind wrecks it. Even in a corner between a 7 foot tent and 4x4, it wasn't working well at all. On anything but Hi, it would blow out. Even on Hi, it was weak because it couldn't mix the intake air with the propane in a controlled way. It may be that only a better wind shelter would allow any propane stove to work in these conditions. I was still disappointed that the stove's "power" didn't overcome the wind.I bought the piezo ignitor from Camp Chef to go with this stove. I think it should have been included, and also the leg-leveling inserts. Those are both useful things that could have been included at a much lower cost than buying them separately.
