Finally a phone of quality!
Finally a phone my dad is happy with! The fingerprint reader is a little shotty but the facial recognition is on point.

Rather disappointed in the build quality.
When I first got the phone I was extremely excited it seemed great and all was well for 3 weeks then it started having weird glitches. The notifications sound for messages started to not work. Then it was the speaker it sounds blown so I cant understand what people are saying of course by this time the return window has closed. This phone has not been abused in fact it still looks like new. Seeing this is supposed to be a rugged phone and I am already having problems. I would hate to see how it handled water or a significant drop. It saddens me to say that I wouldn't recommend this phone as I previously owned a Doogee s60 and had a way better experience with that phone.

Refreshing, quality built, durable phone.
This phone extremely rugged! I was really impressed with the solid feel as soon as I took it out of the box. The metal and rubber give me an instant "quality feel" vs my previous phones. The phone was easy and familiar to use compared to my other Android phones (it is Android 9). The dual SIM was a highly sought after feature for my use. It has 8GB RAM and 128GB flash memory which is more than enough for me. The 48mp camera are clear and crisp and the 10x zoom produces nice and clear images. It also has a 16mp front camera for selfies. The amount of technology in this phone really is amazing...GPS, high res front/rear camera, dual sim, fast wireless charging...list seems to go on and on. I have been discovering new features almost every day. The battery is huge. I'm not sure what the specs are off the top of my head, but I easily go two full days on a single charge. The screen says it is drop and scratch proof. Luckily, I have not tested this yet :), but because of the solid feel of the rest of the phone. I think it will be true. Oh, yeah, important tip; use the "dark theme". It changes the entire feel of the phone - for the better.

Not Durable By Any Means
Update: phone is no where near as resilient as stated. Dropped from sitting position on the floor, less than 3 feet above the floor, and the screen shattered. The drop test is fictional and if you're looking for a rugged phone that is durable, this is not it!Great phone for the money. Seems like it could be generic android pie version 9.0. I downloaded a home launcher to help organize the apps since they accumulate on the front screen and add many pages. Camera is decent, nothing like I thought it would be. The 48MP is more of a gimmick and can only get HDR photos in 12MP. Speakers work well and the quality isn't bad, I understand why some users complain. Extremely fast processing and loads web page very quickly. Much better reception than my Samsung S8+ it replaced in all the same areas. Being somewhat generic Android 9.0, unable to access some features like turning sound off for camera shutter and little nuances like that can be found. Overall, I'm satisfied for what I paid. You'll sacrifice convenience features, camera and sound quality for money you'll save. Look forward Doogee future models

It might be a great phone.....
....... but it doesn't work on my Verizon 4G network. Odd that it sync'd info off of my existing SIM card, yet it says "no SIM card installed". By independent accounts it says it will work on Verizon's CDMA 800 Mhz and 1900 Mhz 4G bands, but Verizon's identifier says no. So, whatever. It doesn't. Sending it back.Update 4.28.20. I tried suggestions from customer support about transferring APN data but that didn't work either. I put the Verizon SIM card in (very sloppy fit and "no SIM card installed" notification) and the phone immediately synced all my contacts and personal data, but still could not access Mobile Networks APN. I don't want to return the phone with all my personal data on it. Waiting to hear from customer service on restoring defaults so it can be returned.Update: I am able to wipe my data now thanks to another website. I will give Doogee an A+ for customer support attentiveness but after 3-1/2 days of "trying things" with the SIM card it still could not recognize it. This shouldn't be necessary with a new phone. I'm done.
