This antenna works well for its size
This antenna is very small and due to that it does not work as well as the much longer antennas. However, in this class of stubby antennas it stands out as one of the better performers. It is not the best performer but for the price it is a good value.

Decent antenna for DMR HT's.
I got this antenna mainly to use my Anytone 878UVII Plus HT with a hot spot.I tested this antenna on both the 2m and 70cm band. Though they work and I'm able to hit a repeater that is over 40 miles away on my Anytone 878. I don't recommend anyone use this short stubby one for long distances communication.Reception is actually pretty good. I'm able to pick up most of my repeaters and it appears to have the same performance in receiving as the Diamond SRJ77CA when you're outdoors. Indoors is a hit or miss. So going back to why I chose this antenna? Well a DMR hotspot. You don't really need the arm pit tickler or the super long 19" gonna poke your eyeball out antenna. The PiStar sits about 10 feet away from me and the TX power is set on low. So this antenna works fine for that application. The antenna body feels like it's made from spin aluminum but it's actually made from plastic and there's company logo and antenna spec laser etch on the radio itself. Though it's really hard to see but it's there.Overall it's a great antenna for how cheap it is and since I'm only using it on my DMT HT. It's fine for what it is as long you know it's limits.Update 03/19/2024. Guess these work perfect for close range and DMR on my HT's. I bought a second set and will be using this on my Revetis R3TS full time. This antenna was dead on to my pi star hot spot frequency of 441.025Mhz. Changing it from 4 to 5 stars.

1st antenna defective, 2nd antenna ok.
Review date: 3-5-2024, Revision: C...The 2nd antenna works as expected. The 2nd antenna has red sticker on the top and the brand and model info is almost unreadable. The first one that didn't work had pink sticker and was more readable. But neither look like as pictured not a bad think unless you like bright labels. I don't.Anyway, I was able to get into the local repeater on 2m.2m (144 MHz) SWR is around 2.0.70cm (446.1 MHz) SWR is around 1.7.--------------------------------------Review date: 3-1-2024, Revision: A...This is getting old. Yet another defective antenna. This one if I press on the side of the antenna, there is a response at 144 MHz. Harder I push the better the 2m response. Not sure if the pink stick on top means anything. Becouse it's not working on 2m at all - Back it goes...

super small perfect for uhf or gmrs works decent on vhf.
I use this antenna on my Anytone 878 uvii Plus. its so small, I lost mine in my vehicle somewhere after using a couple of weeks. I Use with digital hotpot in vehicle, low profile stealth and AWESOME ON UHF AND GMRS wide frequency range, good quality.

Not that great on 80 meters but fine on the handheld
What can you say... its a two and a half inch antenna. It works best on 440.

it isn't compatible with my radios
This might be an absolutely outstanding antenna however it will not work with any of my baufeng or tidradio's and I can't find a working adapter. Given the lack of adapters and support I'm rating this a 1 of 5 and will be returning my recent order.

It works!!
This little antenna works as well as the 6" antenna that came on the radio. I can hit repeaters that the stock antenna can't. I've been a ham since 1981 and I'm pleased that antenna technology is keeping up. Good job on this one. 👍
