Septimus Heap Angie Sage 7 Books Collection Set Pack (Wizard Apprentice Series) by Septimus Heap (2012-05-04)

This was my 9 year old son's first real book series. He got to book 2 of Harry Potter and had to stop because it was too scary. The Septimus Heap books are full of rich characters and suspenseful narratives but are not gory or graphic and never veer too far into bad things. We have been reading them together - I am one book behind him. He cried when he finished the last one because he didn't want to say goodbye.We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the three other books set in he same world and have high hopes for them. We share a secret wish that there might be more Septimus stories in the future.
