Out of the gate it was a hit for my 9 year old. He received it for Christmas and started playing with it right of the box. He made different characters on the grid and scanned them into his tablet making different games with the Blovels app. As guest came in to our house he asked them to try his game made. It definitely his made his day. Thank you.

Was given as a gift to my child for Christmas, and he absolutely loves this--he and his sibling fight over it, in fact. They love being creative, and they love art and video games--right up their alley.

Pretty cool starter kit.

This is a great educational tool to use while also getting the feel of “gaming” for kids! Wish it was a little cheaper so each of my kids had their own. The code didn’t get us free access to an account so I had to contact customer support. They were very helpful in creating accounts for my kids.

We have been unable to set this item up. There are no help options. When I went to sign up, there must’ve been some sort of glitch and all of my email addresses were already used. Apparently… Bummed, my kid wanted to play with this. It was a Christmas gift.

Cool concept, but you're essentially just paying for the lifetime subscription to the app/engine. The actual board and colored blocks are nice and easy enough to use, but the scan ability is less than sufficient. 9 times out of 10 the wrong colors are picked up, random blocks are added/excluded, and any kind of reflection will wash the entire board out with perceived white blocks. All this art can be made much easier in the application, especially once you start animating your characters/objects.As far as the application, it runs great on my laptop through the web, as well as an Android emulator on my laptop running the app. I was trying the emulator because the cheap generic android tablets my kids have are not up for to the task (the app crashes after hitting a menu button), but I wanted to see if I could use the laptop's webcam to act as a tablet camera. On my oldish phone (Samsung S7), the app runs very well.With all that being said, my 7 year old son picked up designing levels and characters quickly. All he could talk about was all his ideas he wants to make. I'm excited he's excited. That makes it all worth it.

My 5 year old son, absolutely loves this. He has created a couple levels and I have noticed that others have actually played it. Highly recommend for kids who love games.

Tried setting this up online and it keeps asking for monthly fee, I thought code in the box is enough to play this
