The best audio player I've owned to date.
While I still need to break in the 4.4mm jack port and probably a bit longer on the 3.5mm, this device blows away the iPod Classic and FIIO M6 when it comes to audio quality, stability in the former and file management in the latter. The iPod Classic always had problems with crashing and the FIIO M6 had terrible file management and custom genre sorting issues with different format types. So far this device sounds miles away better than I've ever heard with those two devices.File transfers are always a pain between computers and devices like these. The iPod though, I will say was the best in this fashion and have to say easier than this device. But I will take that any day over stability and sound quality. It took me a bit until I was familiar with how Music Center for PC works and am quite comfortable with it right now.I'm a happy camper.EDIT After using this device for some time I can say that moving files between my computer and this device is very easy and better without the Music Center program altogether. I used that on the initial transfer. Had more than 12,000 files.Just copy, paste and update the device's database. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Excellent DAP
I used DAP instead of MP3 Player. This Digital Audio Player is meant for Hi-Res audio. You can still play MP3 audio files on it, but do yourself a favor and get some Hi-Res audio files. Superb sound, the Android OS is easy to use, and the ability to stream music from Tidal, Amazon, and others is the main I reason I bought it. Easy to setup and configure. and did I mention the Sound? Exceptional - well worth the 830.00. Get yourself some quality Hi-Res headphones as well. The Sony WH-1000XM4 are a great choice, as well as the SONY MDR-Z1R (if you have the bucks). Also get a balanced cable adapter to use with the balanced output. The SinLoon 4.4mm Male to 3.5mm Female Balanced Cable is a good choice. Sony is known for its excellent electronics and does not disappoint with this DAP. Listen to Summer from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons on the NW-ZX507- it will give you chills.

Wifi will struggle where your phone's (wifi) may not. Battery life is shorter than expected
I got this Wi-Fi Walkman to listen to more variety of music while at work (manual labor). Unfortunately, it can't seem to stay connected to my work's Wi-Fi units. Granted, my work's Wi-Fi isn't as "good" as my home's Wi-Fi but with my Pixel 5 (Wi-Fi internet browsing, email, never used for music) I just needed to stay in certain spots where the signal seemed reliable enough. The Pixel reconnects when necessary whereas the Walkman keeps disconnecting after I, for example, played one Pandora or YouTube song. I have to constantly take it out of my pocket and open up network settings and manually reconnect even when the signal meter looks adequate in certain areas. The Wi-Fi icon just disappears intermittently. I tried messing with the Wi-Fi settings (like automatic reconnect, metered/unmetered, etc.) to no avail. Plus, it gets pretty warm, and the battery runs out fast so i have to cram a battery pack charger in the same pocket (cargo pants). So disappointingly, I had to give up on it for work (I may try again someday) and instead use it at home exclusively. There it works great with the robust Wi-Fi, and I do enjoy it while working out (at home still). I also have been using it while working with graphic intensive programs on my PC, that way my music isn't interfered by memory or performance issues. In this scenario I like it alot and the sound is excellent with Shure 425s or Westone Pro 50s. I haven't tried them with my Sennheiser HD800 yet, but I may after this.*******=======*****=================update 2/18/23==========*****===============*****=====Just some real-use observations/ comments:-At work wi-fi still sucks, offline music is great (using hi-end shures or westone)-Have used during mild hikes in 90+ F temps for a few hours, no issues.(just music player, no wifi)-Recently used with Sennheiser HD800, wi-fi on, youtube music playing with 9 other chrome tabs open, no other apps running, equalizer enabled, room temp=cool, total battery life was just over 2hrs before warning tune played.-I like using it to intermittently watch and continuously listen to youtube videos while also using my PC, sort of a lightweight miniPC.-I use it everyday, hope it lasts!

Great Audiophile Sound
Wow, right out of the box, with my Koss PortaPros, there was a significant improvement in sound compared to my everyday phone and my LG V20 reference phone for music. It is competitive with my home system for music via headphones, at least with my Grados, and so much better than the HiBy R6 I bought recently and returned after ten minutes of listening. This Sony is also so much better than the FiiO M11 Plus my friend has that he bought this unit after a one song test! For full disclosure, I have been playing live music for many years, so my ears are not the best anymore, but still... impressive sound when you get all the audio settings to your liking.

Battery life got dramatically worse with time
Loved it, but the battery life has dwindled dramatically. I’ve only had mine for 2 years and its had to have lost 50-60% of its battery life. I expected more from Sony.

A Walkman Built For Streaming
The sound quality was fantastic, as expected and the interface, being Android based, was smooth and responsive. A great DAP packed into a sleek package, this Walkman works great for locally stored music and streamed content, alike. Only complaint would be that the power output is low (read: VERY low). This is not a problem for me since I use high sensitivity IEMs, but for anyone who wants to use a DAP with anything harder to drive, this may not be the right choice (unless you use an additional external amp, which defeats the purpose of an all-in-one DAP).
