I am an at-home gel nail diy-er who has been doing my own gel nail overlays for over 6 years. I bought these brushes as part of a general upgrade to many of my tools and so far have been very pleased. These are very pretty brushes that so far, seem to be holding up to my weekly use. I love how thin the bristles are as they allow me to get the gel very close to my cuticles without flooding them.These brushes are very different from what I was using prior, so there is a bit of learning curve for me, but overall, I would recommend these!

I recently learned to do my own nails and I prefer to work with hard gels. I also use potted gel polishes and do some nail art. These brushes are quite useful for a beginner - they’re not so expensive that you’ll kick yourself if you have to use some acetone to clean off some product that accidentally cured, but they’re very utilitarian for application of builder gels, polishes and art.
