Technically good, but needs some improvement
These insoles are technically great – they work well and are comfortable. They are updated from another, older brand in various ways with several smart things they’ve done:----PROS-----The area over the battery, by the heel, is padded as there is metal housing over the battery, and this makes it comfortable.-The charging is done with regular [micro] USB; other versions had a proprietary charger plug. With this you can use any USB cable.-When you plug in the wire to charge, it automatically shuts off the heaters – in case you forgot to do so, so that it will charge. (When charging, the LED light at the heel is red, then turns blue to signify done. If you had them on (on the highest) when plugging in, you won’t see a difference, (as the red signifies highest heat), but if you unplug it, you'll see it’s off.-Regarding the little button at the heel to manually turn on & off, on another model, it had to be switched from manual to remote mode by holding it for ten seconds, and it was a bit complicated. Here, they’ve made it that you can always use both the remote and the manual switch - and why not, it makes sense. (There is also a way to do pairing for the remote. You don’t have to do it when you first get it, but it’s apparently if you lose the remote, and have to get a new one.)-When you cut the insoles to size, the best way to do so is to place your current insoles over these so that you cut accurately. Also, better to cut slightly larger than smaller, and then trim down as necessary, as if it’s too small, it will be a bit uncomfortable. (These insoles replace the current insoles, as they write in the instructions, so that it shouldn't be too bulky in the shoes.)-You know they work great when you have them on indoors and you are feeling a bit too warm! But the actual test is when you’re outside in freezing temperature. Note that frostbite is not only an uncomfortable feeling, it’s actually dangerous and unhealthy for circulation – and even after you warm up!-Have a great winter!----CONS----I noticed it was having a hard time with turning on; often I'd press the on button on the remote - the little light on the remote goes on to symbolize it is being pressed, and yet, I didn't feel them warming up. I took them out, and checked the lights on the insoles. Sometimes it wouldn't go on at all. I would then turn them on by pressing the manual button on the insole, and then try the remote again, an it would then work. Albeit, even then, sometimes only one insole responded to the remote, and sometimes neither. It seemed to be a problem with the remote - or perhaps with the 'listening antenna' in the insole. I asked the company about it, and they said that if you haven't used it in 24 hrs, the listening antenna shuts off to conserve battery. I hear, but I think that antenna should stay on for at least 72 hrs, because sometimes you have 1-2 days that are not so cold, and then the next day you want it. Also, as I said, sometimes only one responds (whether to turn on or off or change temperate setting.)Also, the insole has a built up arch which is technically for proper comfort, however, regular dress shoes have their own arch (and hence their insoles don't have any added arch), so I don't think it is necessary, and you feel a slight bump. It settles somewhat after a few weeks, but you still feel it slightly. (Maybe if your feet are directly in shoe-boots, the arch helps out.)The company said they appreciate the feedback. So all in all, you can definitely get them, and they can keep you warm, if you can live with the issues. (Note basically every heated insole has issue.)This was written in 2021, I don't know if the insole has been updated since.

Monitoring the heat is challenging
These insoles have the battery pack in the heal. The battery life is about 4 hours on medium/high. Unfortunately, this duration isn’t long enough for me and the outdoor activities I planned to use these for. Additionally, with the battery pack in the heal, it is rather uncomfortable. It is manageable, but if you intend to do a lot of walking it is rather uncomfortable. Also, there’s not real way to determine IF the insoles turned on or IF they changed heat settings/shut off (based on the remote button pushed). There is a tiny LED light at the back of the insole. This is the only method for determining the heat setting. Obviously this is useless if you have the insoles in your shoes/boots.For the price paid, I expected more. I have returned these and will attempt to find a more comfortable pair of heated insoles that allows you to determine the heat setting without taking the insoles out of your footwear.

Warm insole for winter. remote control is good
I bought it for my 84 year old mother for her daily walking around the neighborhood. The woman’s 5.5-9 fit her size 7 shoes or boots without trimming. The material is high density and relatively soft. It’s thick not like the regular insole. It’s flexible enough to push them into her ankle boots. She has been using it every time when she going for a morning walk. It should be a big help for her morning walk this winter. It takes a couple of minutes to get warm. The temperature can be adjusted. She currently (late fall and early winter) uses low heat level and doesn’t need to be charged in a week because she going outside walking about 30 minutes a day. According to the instruction, if it’s high heat level, it might need to be charged every day.The remote control is a great idea. It’s convenient to adjust or turn off without touching the insoles.

Good, but not great
I bought these for my ski boots. It took about 3 runs before my feet adjusted to them. I tested them before putting them in my boots. I turned them on with the remote and turned them off. I then put them in. When skiing I tried to turn them on, but didn’t seem to work. Taking them out of the boots is a real pain. They are the same size as the insert in the boot, so I didn’t cut them down. Once I took them out, tested the power on the remote. Nothing I pushed worked. There is a button on the back heel that you may have to push before inserting into the boot. Because it takes so much time and effort to remove from the boot, this is not worth it for me.

Dr Warm Rechargeable Foot Warmers Perform Exactly as Advertised
First off, I didn't get paid or receive anything free for this review. It's my honest review.A lot of advertising is just a bunch of fluff to get you to buy a product. You're usually lucky if the product performs at 50% of its description. I have to say that these rechargeable foot warmers by Dr. Warm were exactly as described on Amazon. I wish the battery life was a little longer, but the description says 2-3 hrs at medium heat...and that's exactly what I'm getting (closer to 3hrs). They're very easy to charge and the remote control is a nice feature. (Note that while you can control the temperature and turn the foot warmers off with the remote, they have to initially be turned on at the foot warmer itself.) They are very comfortable, in fact the heel almost feels a little like a firm memory foam. One of the best features for me is that they don't get "too hot". Some of the others I tried worked at providing heat...they just worked too well. So much so that they were uncomfortable to wear. My feet would burn and sweat. These foot warmers provide a warming heat that is comfortable, even inside my shoes. One thing to note is that they will absolutely add some "mass" and "height" to the inside of your shoe. If you are going to use these is shoes that are already tight fitting, you may find it difficult to use these foot warmers as they will make your shoes fit even tighter. I found they perfect for slippers, boots and looser fitting shoes. Would I buy them again...100% yes.
