Great for dyeing
This yarn is great for dyeing! It feels a little scratchy when you first receive it, but it gets a lot softer after washing. It soaks up dye well and I haven't had any problems with it running or fading. The yardage is also great. I prefer socks that are long, so I use a pretty good amount of yarn for a pair of socks, and I still had enough leftover after making the socks I wanted to make some squares for my scrap blanket. I've bought a bunch more since my initial test purchase, and anytime I want to dye, I'll be getting more of this yarn.

Excellent sock yarn
A very satisfying squooshy sock yarn that knits up nicely. Softer than I expected for a budget yarn and seems like it will be quite durable for daily socks. Definitely worth the money at under $7 a skein. I am making toe ups with it and there will be plenty in one skein for a full pair.

The socks feel like they will wear well
I purchased this yarn specifically to make some socks for my nephew whole favorite color is yellow. I purchased the lemon drop colorway and it is very nicely dyed. It is a variegated yarn, but at my gauge on US 2 (2.75 mm) they are knitting up like a stripe with random width stripes. I'm knitting a 48 stitch sock with a 3x1 rib. The first sock is completed in 2 days of inconsistent work and I really enjoyed the knitting. The yarn doesn't feel super soft, but it's not rough and the sock looks and feels like it will last. I also appreciate that the yarn is both washable and dryable as it is going to my sister's house and not staying with me. I will buy more colors of this yarn when I need some more sock yarn.

Not bad for the price... but maybe it is. Bad, I mean.
EDIT 9/30/18: By the time I finished the socks, I realized that this was, by far, the worst sock yarn I have ever purchased. (Pun only slightly intended.) There was so little give in this yarn that I might as well have crocheted the things, and the texture... ugh. After the first couple of hours, my fingers were complaining loudly from the roughness, and the resultant fabric was so itchy that there was no way I'd give it to anyone I liked even a little. In fact, I probably wouldn't even give it to someone I didn't like because I'd hate to think that anyone figured me for a sucky-yarn-buyer. And, yes, I even tried washing it, drying it, washing it again... and let me also add that "washable and dryable" is probably also a relative term. Full treatment did nothing for the texture, fit, or give. I'm definitely going to avoiding this stuff like the proverbial plague in the future. This is a smaller sock-weight yarn and produces perfect gauge on Size 0 needles (36 stitches and 52 rows per 4 inches instockinette). I'm using it for a single-stitch cable pattern (Pirate Danger on Ravelry, if you want an example of that), and it's knitting up pretty well. However, the gauge of the yarn itself (thickness) is not as consistent as with a higher-end yarn, and it does tend to split if you're not paying attention, more than other yarns I've used of the same weight. Still, for a machine washable-and-dryable sock yarn, the price is hard to beat, and the color is a really nice medium. If it was any darker, you wouldn't really be able to see the cable patterns, and if it was lighter, it'd be a pretty annoying periwinkle-ish thing. Fast knitters, go a little slower to manage the splitting.

This is not horrible yarn! It's light fingering (IMHO) and it knits like that. I've made several pairs of socks from it and they are great socks and soften up a lot when washed. The yarn has held up well and I expect my socks will last for years.I bought this skein to use in a shawl with other yarns of the same weight. So far so good!I do not recommend this for beginning knitters due to the light fingering weight. I think it's more difficult to work with than a heavy fingering weight, especially for beginning knitters. It's not a wool shoppe quality yarn, nor indie dyers quality, but it's not bad yarn either.

My First Experience Knitting With This Finer Sock Yarn Was Very Satisfying
This is my first experience knitting socks with finer sock yarn, the product is very durable to knit with. I believe I read a earlier review that this brand of sock yarn does not split and as my first experience, I found this to be true and am very satisfied.

Does not wear well compared to other comparative brand.
While I loved working with this yarn and love being able to get 100 gms for 2 socks thus hopefully having less trouble matching...my problem with this yarn for socks...is the foot pads started looking worn and almost felted looking after wearing socks with and without shoes on through out the day. This wear was noticeable within the first wear and wash cycle and has gotten a little bit more so. Socks kinda look ratty and I've only worn them about 5 times. So I won't buy this brand again since I have had excellent results with Kroy standing up to my wearing with shoes and without shoes without any of the wear/felting look. I always wash by hand, occasionally spin dry, and dry flat...so I can see dramatic difference between the lion brand and the kroy side by side.

Excellent inexpensive sock yarn!
This is an excellent "work horse" type sock yarn! It feels a little scratchy when you first start knitting with it, but it softens up a lot. I'm sure washing will soften it even more. It has wonderful stitch definition and a nice, tight twist (which is a must for socks!)I would definitely use this yarn again, very happy with it.
