FolkArt Matte Acrylic Paint in Assorted Colors, 16 oz, Linen 16 Fl Oz

I spent wasted time in traffic along a major street in our midwestern county, in the failed attempt to get to my local craft store. Finally gave up and got out of the traffic jam to go home...I figured I would see if I could get some black craft paint through Amazon.I certainly did! I even had ample options to choose from....including this hard-to-find-around-these-parts matte Licorice Black. I was even able to get the jumbo size! This paint from Folk Art has proven itself the best in providing color coverage and ease of application on rougher surfaces. In the few craft stores in my area, I have not been able to source this size! (16 oz) I was worried that the paint might be dead stock and dried out, but this was not the case. The seal was intact, the paint was thick and ready to use!It is sometimes quite difficult to handle such an intense black color in assorted crafting projects, and this brand and color lived up to their glowing reputation amidst the crafters and artists in my area. I was AMAZED! Never thought I would be writing to let others know about a pot of craft paint, but honest to God, this went on to my very large project in a breeze! Thanks, Folk Art and Amazon!

I am not certain that this is the right review for what I use it for. I use this paint to make my gesso. However, I do like FolkArt paints. They are wonderful for small projects and perfect for kids. And they are great for gesso. So there is that too.

Use it to paint Styrofoam for VBS this year and I bought 4 expecting to run out, and only used 2! Great coverage even with all the holes in the Styrofoam! Great color and great look!

Perfect for painting.

I love the brand and the beautiful rich red and good price, but it came too late so I couldn’t use it for my big project.

Goes on smooth. Dries fast. It has excellent cover for whatever you are painting. I actually added a little black in the tray and mixed. It made a beautiful grey.

Always prefer Folk Art paints to other craft paints. Better colour and coverage. These larger bottles always arrive full of paint and very think. I water them down. It's like having 3 bottles for the price of 1.

After I ordered it I saw some reviews saying they received dry up paint, so I got a little worried, but thankfully, there was no need to be!The paint I was sent was nice and thick and creamy. Not thick as is starting to dry out, but thick as in of a really great consistency for painting, whether it be on canvas or on my polymer clay sculpted objects and figurines.LOVE it!!

Folkart can always be relied on.I use this to base paint MDF boards before dotting and it provides a perfect base, colour fast and smooth .Brushes wash easily in soapy water.Great all round paint.
