This bet has been great for my 5 year old to dig around in our creek! The netting is small enough that small fish do not slip through. It’s extremely lightweight and we love it!

We got this net for my 5 year old, who is obsessed with catching anything right now. Fish, bugs, butterflies, squirrels, you name it. He's been asking for a new net for this spring because he wore out the old one. The only ones we could find in the store we're plastic or really cheap feeling. They did not feel like they would be sturdy or strong enough to catch anything other than a butterfly. When we saw this net it was exactly what he wanted. I was very impressed when it came with the quality and durability. It is lightweight yet feels strong enough to catch a large fish, and sturdy enough to hold up to a 5 year old boy with endless energy, Who wants to catch anything he sees. I love this net and so does my son! He was overjoyed when he opened he package and takes it with him everywhere. He just holds it and always has it with him ready to catch stuff. We took it camping last weekend and it doesn't even have a scratch on it.Also, it extends to twice the length so it will grow with him, or suit a different need.Can't say enough about it. We love it.

My eleven year old loves this thing. We've went to the beach every weekend this summer and caught some impressive little fishes and crab inside this thing. We dragged these things all over the beach at night hunting sand crabs. We were not easy with them at all, but they held up great. Worth our money. Would buy again, would recommend to a friend. They are telescopic as well.

This net is really cool. It feels really solid in your hand and it's adjustable in length so that he can use it. Also very easy to collapse and store for transport or storing in the boat.I have a 2 year old so it's very important to be able to extend the net for him to reach over the side safely without falling in, but also being able to shorten in for when he is standing with it!We bought it for him to catch fish with, but it's also soft enough that we were able to catch a butterfly! (Just be careful, the net is made of metal so can crush the butterfly if you aren't careful)Overall Very Happy with it!

Bought for 7 yo; she loves it. The square bottom makes it easier to scoop catches out of the net, and the sides are high enough that small frogs can’t leap out. The colors have stayed bright all summer and the net is holding up. This will be the first net to last a whole summer!The handle is sturdy, as is the ring holding the net. Very satisfied with this net.

We ordered three of these so each of our children could have one and they held up great. The handle on one of them will not fully lock but that is not a huge deal as it stays in place when collapsed. Overall, the construction is good and what I expected based on the other reviews. I was able to get in the sand and scoop/filter out stuff while diving for shells. If you push too hard, it will bend the basket part but since it is aluminum, it can easily be bent back. My kids loved these and we are glad we didn't have to toss them after one trip.

After my daughter saw my neighbors children netting minnows and frogs in the backyard stream, she made up her mind that she wanted in on the action. Everyday she'd asked when she could get a net. I purchased this item to make her happy and it exceeded expectations.There are cheaper nets available, but I believe you get what you pay for and this item did not disappoint. It's sturdy, well made, and looks great - far better than what my neighbors kids were using. We've already used it several times and it has proven quite effective at catching all manner of things for a closer inspection. She loves chasing butterflies, bugs, and fish.Definitely recommend this product for anyone with children interested in the outdoors.

The materials are good quality. The telescopic mechanism broke on both nets i bought.

The media could not be loaded.  I was impressed with the aluminum telescoping handle and how sturdy this net felt at first. Dont get me wrong, it is a good net, until the telescoping feature breaks inside... Once that happens, for me that was just after a month, the two pieces no longer hold together firmly. They flop around a bit. Until the manufacturer addresses this major flaw and provides restitution, spend the extra money and shop somewhere else. I suggest buying american made.
