Acoustic Guitar String End Nut Bridge Saddle Abalone Pins Replacements Set (Ebony Pins & Bone Saddle Nut)

I bought this specifically because the pins are 1mm larger that the previous set I ordered which were too small for my Ibanez. I’m not 100% sold on the pins being natural bone because they sound substantially different tapping two together vs tapping the nut to the bridge, whatever they are though it is a harder than plastic material so the sound is fantastic. They look and sound beautiful, my cheap old acoustic is punching way above its weight class just swapping out the cheap plastic pins.

I previously left a review for some different upgrade guitar components. These pins, nut and saddle are all plastic rather than bone. They're all way too flexible to be bone and don't contain bone striations when backlit. They also arrived about one month late. I just tossed them in the trash.

Even the description says they're bone, but they still have the little plastic nubs left on the ends from the plastic mold. The pictures show bone bridge pins too, not the ones they included. Guess I'll save the nut and saddle for future use, but the pins are garbage and that's where they'll go. If they weren't trying to be deliberately deceptive, they would have included the word "plastic" somewhere in the description.

This was advertised as bone with abalone on the pins. Couldn't be farther from the truth. The pins are plastic crap with a black dot painted on the end. As the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Like the headline says, hopefully the wrong item was sent. Looking at other pictures, it seems people are actually getting the listed product. However, I received plastic pieces, and the pins had black plastic dots instead of the advertised abalone. To be sure, I figured for the price that I wouldn't be getting a high quality set of pieces, but I had hoped they would at least resemble what was described.

Worth every penny! with very little adjusting, these made my Epiphone aj 100 sound like a $800 guitar (note: the saddle is a little shorter then the bridge slot) but fits snug and the intonation is perfect

The quality on pins and saddles is goodI bought this set to low the action on my acoustic guitar. With a little bit of work and a sandpaper I could reach the desired height of string action.The pins fit on Fender CC-60 but with a little work with sandpaper.I recommend if you are able to face a small handcraft project.

Love the abalone bone pins had to do a little bit of sanding on the saddle and nut very little to make a perfect fit on my Martin D-35 the difference in the tone and sound is remarkable awesome product.

The item is nothing like the seller’s photo. Material is plastic, not bone. There is no brass or abalone, only a painted black dot. I paid for shipping to receive it and am now required to pay shipping to China to return. Amazon should remove this product and seller, as this is damaging Amazon’s reputation. Amazon should return all the buyer’s money for item and postage.

What i got was not like the picture at all just cheap old plastic ones that i already have a ton of. Very misleading and disappointing.. Beware of this one.

Nut an saddle are made out of some sort of bone but the bridge pins are made out of plastic. You can see at the end of one of the pins there is a plastic nub that is from the casting mold I assume. They are all like that but they do look nice!!

Much better than plastic nut and saddle. Seems to be real bone. The ebony end-pins are beautiful. Truly helps with the sustain and the sound projection!

Everything was as expected the guitar string pins needed to be Sanded down to fit my guitar other than that perfect
