When the World Is Ready for Bed (padded board)

This book is not padded like it says.

This is a darling goodnight book to read to young children, infants to about three years old (possibly older, depending on the child). Three bunny siblings go through their evening routine of coming in to have supper, telling their father stories about their day, cleaning up toys, taking a bath, reading a bedtime book, saying prayers, and going to bed--all told through a sweet, rhythmic rhyme. The illustrations are dear. This is a nice wind-down book that is not too long, but not too simple. My son liked it as an infant and still likes to have it included in his bedtime stories (he's three).

One of my very favorite board books! Can't wait to read this sweet book to our baby on the way! Gillian Shields bunny books are very cute and the rhyming story is truly heartwarming. Have also purchased this as a shower gift - it's definitely one I have enjoyed sharing with others!

This book has lovely imagery, along with beautiful text. My daughter, who barely sits still through other books that I read to my son, will sit still through this entire book, and then ask for me to read it again & again. It's a surefire winner for preschool aged children.

The story and art are so cute. Quality book. Gave as a gift and know it will be treasured.

When the world is ready for bed, this is such an endearing little book, just the kind of book that little ones can follow/relate too in the run up to preparing for bed, the verses rhythm beautifully and the illustrations just complement this very delightful bed time board book, perfect for little hands to turn the pages, and wipe clean if the need should arrive.Bought for my two year old nephew and he loves the tale of the three little bunnies, great book happy to recommend, great price too!

This is a beautiful bedtime book that my daughter adores. We first had a copy by accident from the little local library and immediately ordered a few copies for us and friends.The book follows 3 little rabbits as they prepare for bed, the chat with daddy about their day, brushing teeth, reading a book, kisses hugs and seeing a start to guide them through the night. It ends with a promise of the new day tomorrow.We have been cycling three bedtime books for the last year. This, Goodnight Moon, and Say Hello to the Snowy Animals. This one seems to be getting more attention than the others for the last few months. I enjoy reading it to her as much as she loves hearing it.

I read this to my Daughter every night. She can't speak yet but her facial expressions during reading show that she knows the story and absolutely loves it. Most heartily recommended!

We first read this book in our local library and liked it so much we bought it. We love the bedtime routine the bunnies have which is so similar to our own even down to bedtime prayers. Delightful bedtime story for bunnies of all ages.
