Mechanix Wear: Material4X Padded Palm Work Gloves (Small, Brown/Black)

I have used this pair of gloves for 7 months and they are still holding up great. Before this pair, I would go through gloves in a couple weeks. Comfortable, good fit and dexterity. Will purchase these again.

I purchased another pair of Mechanix 4X material gloves in XXL size previously. They have been great except that they were very thin. The abrasion resistance was as advertised, but I work with things that have edges and corners, so I looked up these gloves, with the padded palm.I have two complaints: 1) The other gloves were slightly oversized for me, in spite of being XXL, while these gloves - also XXL - are slightly undersized. These gloves aren't so bad that I can't use them, but the difference between them is stark, and frankly bizarre.2) The stitching on these gloves is scratchy in several key places. Again, not unusable, and probably something I wouldn't notice if the gloves weren't slightly undersized.I assume I'm just having some bad luck, but for $45 for these and I think 30 or 35 for the others, I feel like a little quality control might be in order.

These gloves are amazing and fit well. Mechanix makes great gloves.

I use these for all types of outdoor activity’s and they work perfect. Only time will wear them out. On my 3rd set in the last 10 years.

it says pack of 2 for the XL size. this is very misleading since work gloves are not sold as singles. could have paided alot less for a different glove. at the time lookedlike a deal but since it was only one pair. it is not a deal at all.

Overall great gloves. I've used Mechanix for years, mostly for tactical and firearms use. Prior to these, I had the Mechanix gloves with the padded knuckles, and those performed very well... but ended up breaking after about 4 years of heavy use.I've used these about 2 months, and they perform very well and are extremely comfortable. I've never used these with my firearm, but have used them for 8+ hours at a time with my gas weed wacker, and they are insanely comfortable. Barehanded, weedeating is brutal and gives me a weird vibration feeling in my hands the rest of the day. I threw these gloves on, and instantly felt better.I also use them for weeding, mostly pulling out heavy brush and thistles. They are very comfortable for that, and the additional padding provides protection from thorns and thistles.

These are not meant as bike gloves, but they should be. Solid leather and comfort with a lasting durability. They may look odd, but keep my hands numb free.

First I want to say I only use mechanix gloves. I use them on a daily basis.I purchased these based on the durability claim that they were hard use gloves. However, they seem to wear similar to the rest of the mechanix line and possibly even worse. I love the comfort of the m-pact line and have several pairs that I rotate, however, I have found that these gloves have worn in places the m-pacts have not. The middle finger has worn a hole rather quickly and the knuckle area has separated leaving flaps of fabric over the knuckle. I will continue to purchase m-pact mechanix as I love the fit, comfort and the rubber knuckles, but this style of "hard use" gloves have not lived up to there name.On the brightside the leather is very soft and comfortable and if you use these as occasional users, they are worth the purchase.
