Loud but works well for 20W laser air assist!
The media could not be loaded. 3/21/2024 Edit: Added a video to show how quiet it can be if you build an enclosure. Still going strong. I used Rockwool for the top & and bottom, strapped it down, and made the motor almost silent. Only the loud hissing noise coming from the nozzle as I'm using this for the air assist on my 20W laser diode to cut.***ORIGINAL REVIEW***I originally got the smaller one which was 'okay' but still had a slightly burnt surface around the edges when using it for my 20W laser diode engraver/cutter. I knew this would be loud but I mounted some vibration isolation instead and made it a little better. I can probably go further by isolating the mount attached to my shed as it does vibrate quite a bit even with the current setup and drones loudly. I have no problem making an enclosure at some point but just know it's not quiet. But with that said, the performance of the pump is excellent. I have a 30-gallon air compressor (non-oil) but having a constant pressure is a must while cutting which can exceed 30 minutes at a time so didn't want to put more stress on the compressor. It's pricey for the size but it's been running really well. I'm not using the supplied tubing and the splitter and directly running it with a silicone hose for maximum PSI.Great pump in either case! It's just loud but can be overcome with the correct setup!

3566 GPH runs 32 sponge filters with ease.
The media could not be loaded. I got the 3566 GPH commercial unit. It runs 32 small sponge filters with plenty of air to spare (see video). You could probably run 50 small sponge filters off this one pump. I hooked it up in my basement rafters directly below my tanks with a piece of plywood and ran an air hose through the floor. Don’t have to look at it and it quiets it down. It’s loud but all pumps this size are loud. I don’t have a dB meter but it’s similar to the noise of a window AC unit. Other reviews have said this unit runs hot but they must have the smaller pumps. I have a very small fan (about 6”) running on it and it stays very cool as in a small child could hold it for hours. I can not speak to the longevity as I have only had this unit hooked up for a week but it appears very solidly built. If it does happen to need a rebuild, it’s in the instruction manual how to do so and very easy. The only improvements I would make on this product would be having an adjustable output of air so I could turn the flow down (thus quieter) (It always runs full blast) and make it quieter. given the output I consider the noise reasonable. For the price you can’t beat it.

Best pump ever
I run this pump 24 seven all year outside, covered. I use it to run massive air stones in my 11,000 gallon pond. It works amazing and I replace it every year with a new one.

Two issues
The product is very powerful, it works very, very, well. There are two issues, one it runs so hot the metal air hose distributor with all of the rubber hoses attached to it gets so hot you can burn your hand. Not the unit itself, the metal splitter that attaches with the hose. The second issue is that the hose needs to be clamped to the unit and to the metal distributor/splitter, otherwise the air blast is so strong it just keeps coming off at the splitter end. I bought plumbing clamps at the local hardware store and now having attached them the hose does not come off. I guess the final issue is that it is not waterproof. I have it outdoors for a 750 gallon fish pond (It is way to much pump for this size pond, but that is what I wanted) and I have to put something over it to keep the rain off but not completely over it because it runs so hot. I actually have the splitter up off the ground on a metal flowerpot turned sideways because I am concerned about vegetation catching fire. I am going to get a cement paver to put everything on so that won't be an issue. I definitely like the pump, it seems very well made and is a beast pushing out air, you just have to know a couple of things before you buy it.

The King of Aquarium Air Pumps
This is a beast! I do mean it - weighing in at a substantial sum, on top of being LOUD. I keep mine in a separate closet, run a 3/8" diameter hose to a manifold I keep at my aquarium, split the flow into multiple 1/4" lines that send air to my BashSea reactor, a large stone in my saltwater aquarium, and a smaller stone in my freshwater aquarium - and I have capacity to spare. If you need a large volume of air - I haven't found anything better. If quiet is a big deal for you, this is not the right compressor for you.

Lots of power but full of hot air.
I purchased 2 Ecoplus 1300 GPH for my DWC system. I thought it was a great pump. Loud and they get real hot, but lots of air. If you don't mind the noise and if hot air is what you need it seems to do the job well. After three weeks one started to get louder and louder. Not just the normal pulsing sound of the pump or the vibration of the floor(even with a 6 inch foam pad)but also a metal grinding sound. I asked for a replacement and one was sent very fast. I was happy with their quick response. Hate having issues with returns. So I hook it up and it sounds louder then the one I'm sending back. I sent a message to get it replaced but they won't. I was issued a refund. Now the only one I have left is making a similar sound. I have asked for a complete refund. This may just be an personal aversion to noise. I would give more stars but customer service is cold and the product is annoying. The biggest negative is I wanted more oxygen for my plants but this heats the air up so much the water is too warm to absorb much. I have spent the last 4 weeks using the hillbilly way (frozen water bottles) of keeping the water under 70 degrees. It's a losing battle and it's still winter here. What would it be like when the summer temps come?
