These fat absorbing sheets are easy to use and work well. Just put a sheet on top of your soup, stew, whatever liquid and it will absorb the grease. I usually have to use at least two, plucking each out of the hot pot with a large fork.

If you just want to quickly degrease a soup or sauce, these are great. If we want a full degreasing, we pour the sauce into an old-fashioned degreaser. However, if we just want to quickly remove the grease floating on the top, we put one of these on the surface of the hot soup/sauce. It floats on the top and soaks up the grease. We take a fork to remove and put in the garbage can. Voila.

Sure, these take off SOME of the grease, but not all of it. A bit expensive for 10 pieces when you have to use 2 to get the job done. I think I'll stick to refrigerating my stocks, and wait for that pleasing cake of hardened grease to rise to the top so I can lift it ALL off. And THAT doesn't cost $10.

A little messy, but these sheets do what they are advertised to do. Float one (or two...depending on the size of the area you want to de-fat) on the top of your soup, etc, wait a couple of seconds, then use some tongs to remove it along with the fat it has soaked up.

WOW! Amazingly effective. My sister and I were making chili and the ground beef that she brought to add to the cubed steak meat was (considerably) more fatty than she thought... Paper towels can soak it up, but tend to fall apart in the process. These worked great...soaked up the unwanted fatty grease and stayed in tact. (We had to use two due to the huge volume of excess fats lurking on the top of our slow cooker chili!) We were thankful that we had them. (She'll pay closer attention to the % lean on the package in the future.)Highly recommend!

Have you ever made soup or something else from meat containing fat and all the fat just floated to the top? I have many times and thats where these fat absorbers come into play. They are just great for absorbing all that grease. They float on top and just suck up any oil that is around it. They only absorb the oil and not the water. This is great product. I have been buying these absorbers for years and will continue to do so. Just can't go wrong using them.

I use leftover rotisserie chicken to make soup. I let the broth cool and then just sweep up most of the chicken fat with one of these sheets. Works great! Makes a good homemade soup a little healthier!

I've purchased these a few times and use them to absorb fat that rises to the top of a pot when I make chicken soup. I have not found anything else that can compare to these individual "sheets." I will continue to purchase them.
