I have two tanks-- one 75 gal for a large turtle and feeders, pleco, etc. And another much smaller 2 gal for a beta and these strips work great for both. Takes the guess work out of water treatment and I already see improvement in the microbiome. No longer guessing about de-chlorinator... could probably use these for my own tap water if needed.

Seems to work ok but it is difficult to exactly match some colors

Easy to use. Excellent insight into water quality. A lot of complex chemistry is put into these test strips to make them readable by anybody to quickly assess water quality. Yes, a lot like swimming pool water testing, but that simplicity and accuracy level is a good thing. A lab test might be more accurate, but not necessary unless a problem is shown. For bacteria testing, not part of this kit, spend the money and get a lab test if you can afford it.

Not even close to an accurate enough test to see if your drinking water has low enough lead in it.

Easy to read and colors are close to the colors on the chart. Sometimes it appears the color is between two on the chart so just extrapolate if you need a number value. Served the purpose for detecting chlorine in the water.

Since we live south of Flint & University of Michigan Hospital where I question if the flushing of bodily fluids post-chemo might be draining into our water supply, I wanted to see how effective our city’s water services are. These test strips gave me that peace of mind that all is well :)
