The base does not allow you to use the bench without it moving. Had to place weights on the front floor bar to prevent it from moving backwards when sitting on the bench. Could use a t shaped bar on the back for floor stability.

Pretty solid but a bit small but works well in the small space

armrest is to short only about 8 inches,, but is wide enough ,, does have some wobble to it also

The bench is nicely built and sturdy but right out of the box there was flaking paint on almost all of the pieces. In fact I cut my thumb on one of the loose hanging flakes. It’s a shame the paint is such poor quality since I really like the product overall.UPDATE: i cancelled my return request because I liked the product and didn't want to resume shopping for a different one and low and behold, a brand new one showed up yesterday! Kudos to their customer service. Hopefully the new one will unpack with no chips and I’ll be set. Thank you for the help Deltech!

Some of you may have seen my reviews. I say what the real deal is regarding athletic equipment; especially when it comes to weightlifting. I am 6'2" 300 person almost 50 years old. When I buy things, I know right away if they are built sturdy and built to last.I am really impressed with this curl bench. Everyone, no mature your stature is going to love the width on the arm pad. The assembly is super easy, I would use regular tools instead of the ones in the package to get a better torque to allow you to tighten the bolts more securely.Everything about this bench is designed to suit anyone of any size. It is sturdy, and at any position on the seat or the arm pad you feel secure.The one draw back is the rack or the arms that hold the bar, it would have been nice to have some adjustment capabilities on the rack arms as well. Again being over 6' tall I use the arm pad pretty high; I have to bend over pretty far to get the bar off the rack arms. It is kinda difficult cause while the arm pad is raised, my arms are not long enough to grab the bar off the rack arms without really having to bend over the arm pad to get the weight bar. That is my ONE criticism.Sturdy, great value for the money, well built. Those of you that are looking for gym quality, this gets pretty close which is amazing for the price.

I have wanted a preacher curl bench for years but i jus couldnt find one that didnt look super cheap all the ones i saw jus simply were poor quality i think it was cuz i fell in luv with the one at my gym made by paramount prolly one of the best commercial manufactures out there an that thing costs $1600 which is ridiculous, then i found this prize that looks exactly like the one at my gym for way way less money theres definitely not that much of a difference in quality surely not $1400 dollars between the two so this is as close to commercial ur gonna find at a fantastic price, the padding is excellent an its very easy to put together it is also very sturdy all tho i never adjust it at all so i think thats why i found exactly were both pieces needed to be for my size an tightened it as much as possible an it couldnt be more solid as long as u know how to properly lift an be gentle an take ur time with it then it will last a forever, the only bad thing about it is the steel is jus painted on so its very easy to scratch it up on the base as well as where u set the bar to avoid this i simply bought a mat to put underneath it an i bought some rubber pieces to put around an inside where the bar sits an i dont have a single scratch yet i also put a 60 pound weight in the front so it wont move at all but if u cant do these things jus do isolation curls wit ur dumbbells if keeping it scratch free is important to u, so if u love the preacher curl workout as much as i do an u wanna get those defined biceps then this is for u buy it now an u wont be disappointed i guarantee it...

I’ve been looking for a preacher curl bench for several months to round out my home gym. The deal breaker on the lowest price ones was always the narrow width of the arm pads. I watched all the videos and buyers saying that they “made it work”. I would rather pay a little more and get something that fits. Then I considered the $250 & up benches that have very wide pads, but that was on the high end of my budget. For 2 months I couldn’t find anything in-between UNTIL this beautiful Deltech popped up in my search. Read all the 5 star reviews. They are ALL TRUE!!!! Great quality, sturdy, easy assembly, WIDE ARM PAD (and thick!). Also fantastic customer service! Mine arrived in a sealed box, but had a broken plastic part. I called the manufacturer number listed on the front of the instruction pamphlet and the part was sent out same day!!! It just arrived today (2 days later). I will be checking Deltech first the next time I want to add a piece of equipment. Highly recommend!
