artery forceps, like it shows in the picture.
So these are basically atraumatic forceps with "teeth" for locking at certain points, like in the picture. Exactly what I was after (if a little low quality). These are not scissors, they are not for cutting, they are not sharp. They are for holding, they are blunt. The teeth don't clamp together completely either hence being atraumatic (if you hold them up to light you will see a thin line of light between the teeth), they aren't designed to completely crush soft tissue to pieces either But they will close enough to pull hair ect.I bought these to undo some tight earrings for which they are great but if people do not understand the use of these they may find them very difficult to use as it is easy to "clip on and off" when you don't want to, made slightly easier (or more difficult depending on your way of thinking) by the slightly lower standard of equipment. (Mine came already rusted at the hinge and not quite square).

Long nose, firm grip. Great!
I bought these to use to stuff hand made cloth dolls with, and they do the job very nicely. They grip the stuffing firmly, have a good long and narrow nose to reach into all the corners with, but they aren't so big that they're unwieldy or uncomfortable to use. The lock on the handle, which keeps them shut, is very easy to engage and disengage; and they are really good value for money. I've also used them for turning cloth dolls' legs and arms out the right way round, and they work very well for this as well; the only slight problem is that I've found that they sometimes mark the fabric that I've used, leaving the imprint of the gripping surface on the cotton. This mark has gone away on all the dolls I've just checked, but I do wonder if this would be an issue when using flimsier fabrics. All together, though, I'm very pleased with these, and would buy them again if I needed to.

Used for zipper installation
How on earth have I managed without these till now... to insert invisible zips...turn spaghetti tube...fold and pull through tight corners so they lay flat and hold tiny applique pieces to hot press. Fab. And then I found I could grip slippery needles and pull through difficult project. Like long super grip fingers. Just Brilliant.

Inexpensive and does the job
The metal looks a little cheap (compared with the instruments actually used in surgery) and the joints could do with some lubrication. However, for the price, the product is good. I primarily use the forceps to unscrew very tight t-connectors from giving sets, which has saved me a lot of frustration. I'm sure these would also be good for getting a hair pluck sample.

One of those invaluable tools for the right job
One of those things you could always have done with. It didn’t achieve what I had in mind for it but I am convinced I will have situations where it’s 100% the right tool for the job

Perfect for bike maintenance
Purchased these after seeing another bike mechanic using them. They are great for gripping and grabbing cables when working on internal cable routing jobs and also perfect for holding small nuts/bolts etc in tight or awkward spaces spaces.
