Well, It is going to be hard to use the lower-level when the top is full, I lowered the lower as far as it will fit files so that there is 5 or 6 inches in between to maneuver, but this is just a consequence of not having slide out old school drawers. There are a couple of extra parts that don't belong but all the ones that are supposed to be there are there. I recommend this and would buy it again. Plenty strong enough to fill both levels with files, sturdy, adjustable, and wheels are pretty good. One caveat: Adjusting heights requires paying attention as it will tend to disassemble itself when there is no weight on it and you slide it around :)

I guess we're all used to incomplete assembly instructions by now, but they omitted some information that could have sped up the process a little. Such as: They included "washers" for the wheel assembly, but I didn't see where these were mentioned and they were not in the drawings, so I had to go back and add them. Also, they could easily have added about 3/4" in length, so you could either have 2 tiers of lateral files or 2 sections on each tier of horizontal files. Basically the bottom shelf is limited to either a full tier of lateral, or one section of horizontal hanging files.All that being said, I do like the unit and will keep it; seems sturdy. I like how it can be moved around for cleaning or used in another room.

I needed something to help me get more organized without having to get up and down several times from my desk to grab stuff, and I do not have space for a regular file cabinet. I wanted files on top, and a shelf on bottom. With this 2-tier file rack, my search can cease! I love that I file the papers right next to me instead of keeping separate piles and files on my desk. I love that I can put my most frequently used books on the bottom shelf. As you may notice in the picture, I don't use the bottom tier for files, but I suppose I could if I wanted to. I like this cart because the middle rack has an adjustable height, allowing me to put it at a level so that binders can fit on the shelf. There are 2 things I added to it to improve its functionality: (1) we secured a big piece of cardboard to the one of the sides of the rack to keep books from falling through. (2) we used a twisty-tie to hold the middle piece that the files rest on in place because I kept knocking it around (you may see a few mentions in the reviews about that piece not being stable). Finally, I love that I can roll this thing away when I want it out of site.

First of all, this was easy to put together. Once put together, I made the adjustments with the 2 metal bars, so it would accommodate legal size folders. I recently moved my office to my house and didn't want to bring the file cabinet that held these few legal size folders. When I found this on Amazon, I couldn't wait. It also can be adjusted to hold letter size folders too, as you see on the bottom rack. I highly recommend this product.

I wish I'd bought this thing sooner. I purchased it to ready documents for filing in a permanent filing cabinet. Sorting documents into piles on a table works until you get sidelined or and someone wants to use the table for its intended purpose, like dinner. This is also much easier and more efficient than trying to sort and file documents directly into file drawers. It is lightweight when empty making it easy to maneuver yet sturdy enough that it won't tip over unless it is knocked over. The cross bars were too loose to hold the folders in place so I clipped them in place from the bottom with binder clips and they are easily adjusted. Each level holds at least 100 empty letter-sized hanging file folders. The second level can be placed to allow both levels of folders to move freely and leave room on the bottom shelf to store ream-size letterhead boxes for more storage or to add weight to the cart. It will be easily stored when not in use or donated because it is so inexpensive.

Very easy assembly. Sturdy and provided so much more storage for files, easy retrieval! Very happy with purchase and increased my home office organization.

A mobile filing unit that is easy move around my studio and a snap to put together. I replaced my bulky file cabinets with this unit. I have a large collection of resource material that I use for teaching. I like that I can see every file at a glance and how I can easily rearrange my files without any physical strain.
