This is my second copy of this CD. I lost the first one. Douglas Adam's work is something I can read or hear over and over. He is a brilliant writer.

This is a wonderful radio play for all Doublers Adams and Dirk Gently fans.

Will listen probably in the fall when Season 2 airs.

Dated and sophomoric production values with a clutter of sound effects and music cues that obscure the (marvelous) writing.

Entertaining.

Typical Adam's mad cap intellectual humor. Imaging the Norse Gods in advertising and one greedy little "Agent". Harry Enfield's characterization of Dirk Gently, completely fits the voice I heard in my head while reading the books. All characters are brilliantly depicted, and the subplots like the "refrigerator", will have you laughing out loud, and Dirk's antics, particular the Gypsy woman, will have you peeing yourself laughing.No, it is not Hitchhikers, it's a whole new hoot of a series. I wish Adam's had lived to write more of these sequels, so, I would think, does he.100% recommend.

Being a big fan of Hitch Hikers guide this was a no brainer to buy, not as good as HHG but still enjoyable. I drive a lot for work so its good to have a change from music all the time.

Brilliantly executed comedy from the pen of Douglas Adams. Well paced drama with quality voices bringing Dirk and his band of disparate friends and enemies to life. Nicely pieced together at a good pace. Thoroughly enjoyed this version, certainly beats the latest remake.

If you like hitchhikers guide to the galaxy you will like this.

Douglas Adams is one of my favorite authors. The Hitchcock Hikers Guide to the Galaxy was my first introduction. Subsequently I discovered that Douglas Adams had written for Doctor Who, SHADA, as well as Dirk Gently The Holistic Detective Agency and Long Dark Teatime of the Soul. These audios are perfect to listen to, especially in the car while traveling. The seller shipped the package carefully and promptly. I'll watch for other offerings to add to my audiobook collection.
