SYGAV Android 11 Car Stereo Radio for 2019-2024 Toyota RAV4 GPS Navigation Head Unit with Wireless Carplay Android Auto

After understanding that you can move the case down for the back to fit, it was very easy to install. There are so many options on this radio. It has a built in GPS, can also use Android auto for GPS, or hotspot is to your phone to use the regular google maps. I used Toyota + Alexa through old system. Through the Bluetooth I am using just Alexa and sounds great. I saw a lot of people had issues with the camera. Make sure you hook up the little red box that comes with and you will have no issues at all. Steering wheel functions work great.Must say I learned a little late that you can move the back of the radio down and ended up cutting the back that goes on there from factory radio(however once all together you do not see where I cut).

12 Sep, 2020 update: No internet is going through the head unit although wifi is connected. This wifi source works on all of my other devices so it can't be the problem. A responsive representative from the company is helping me fix these issue through the process of elimination.03 Sep, 2020 update: Took two stars off. The backup camera and the reverse signal trigger stopped working. I disconnected and reconnected the camera and canbus connector and it worked for 10 seconds and stopped working again. Seller was contacted and hopefully they can figure out what's wrong with it.The head unit is as good as advertised. The fitment is not the best but not unbearable. The installation was plug-n-play for the most part; the head unit itself must be remounted lower to the frame to fit the OEM cover. However, I had to DRILL off bits of the plastic cover to make that happen. The harnesses provided is exclusive to the vehicle so there is not need to split or splice anything. The sound is a great improvement over the stock unit. The car would sound really nice with additional speakers upgrades. Overall a great valued head unit with bunch of features!

I replaced some of the speakers in my 2019 rav4 hoping that it would improve the horrific sound quality of the stock system. Turns out the stock head unit was the issue. After installing this the sound quality went way up! Having the huge screen is a plus. It looks slick and was easy to install. Happy with my purchase. Only issue is the skip track buttons on my steering wheel work backwards now but it’s really not a big deal. Everything else seems to be working great so far....UPDATE: After having this for a few months i'm taking my rating down to 1 star. This head unit is prone to overheating if you listen to it at high volumes for even 15 minutes. It also will randomly turn the reverse cam on with no way of fixing it other than pulling over and turning the car off. With the overheating some of the adhesive is starting to come off and the unit is completely falling apart. I imagine this head unit only has so much life left in it. I will likely have to replace it in the coming months.

Installation was simple and easy. The unit functioned as advertised except for the audio. After connecting the included harness and completing installation I paired my phone to test the system. I noticed an immediate drop in audio quality. There was constant distortion present in the higher frequencies which I could not remove by adjusting the equalizer. When using Android Auto the screen would take on a reddish orange color similar to grey scale, except everything was a shade of orange instead of grey. This made the screen difficult to read while using google maps which defeats the primary purpose of me purchasing this unit. I have reinstalled my factory unit and will return Sygav unit as I would rather have superior audio quality (and the use of the subwoofer) and no Android Auto rather than tolerate audio quality equivalent of a $20 blue tooth speaker and AA functionality that cannot be easily read while driving. On a final note, the Sygav unit is held in place by the facade clips rather than mounted to the hard points in the bay. I consider this a safety issue in the event of an accident as it only take a firm tug to remove the unit from the dashboard and a serious accident will have more force applied than that.

Doesn’t fit 2019 without been modified . Have to move stereo down two screws shifting box down. Remove 4 screws . After doing that can only install 2 screws attaching face plate only with 2 screws.Have to remove 2 second two lower plastic attachers. Remove all red clips from factory case . Install on new interface case. The factory brackets on10 mm x 4 won’t work . Whole stereo relies on .red clips to hold stereo in.today driving down the road backup cam came on . Had to pull over and turn off vehicle . Installed 5 days ago.

Wiring harness provided for my 2019 rav4 was incompatible, disappointed and returning.

For $500 you'd expect to get a decent set of instructions. What you get is useless and if you try to contact customer support, you get a response from someone who barely speaks English.
