After This... An Inspirational Journey for All the Wrong Reasons Paperback – April 20, 2006

I actually went to school and graduated with Mr. Engel. We weren't best of friends, more like class mates at a small school. I remember hearing of his accident, but never heard anything more after the initial "he was in a horrible car accident" . I ran into Marc at our 20 year h.s. reunion, before the reunion I read a newspaper article about him reuniting with the E.R. nurse that sat with him and told him he was going to be fine. I decided to buy the book and hear his story, to me this guy is one amazing individual. Going through all this and turning it into motivation for other people!! Simply amazing story, I highly recommend this book!!!

Quick read. Title says it all, sad but also motivational, uplifting, and inspiring. Everyone should be as positive as Mr. Engel.

This book is a testimony that life is not a straight path. God doesn't let bad things happen but he is with you when they do. This book made me cry, made me laugh and made me angry. I will never forget Marcus. With all that Marcus has been through and what he went through to achieve what he wanted, he is doing what he loves. Living.

Incredible story and a very easy read. Brings up some very good points about taking care of patients. I think reading it would benefit anyone who works in healthcare.

Marcus provides an enlightening perspective of a man's triumph over tragedy.
