Deva Premal Sings the Moola Mantra

Guaranteed to Relax....
Deva Premal's music is great for relaxing esp whilst travelling. On this cd there is an intro and an outro track; then the rest of the tracks seem to merge together as one with the mantra repeated over and over but with very sensitive instrumental accompaniment developing throughout. Deva's voice is pure as usual and has a very comforting quality and the musicians are inspirational and uplifting. I played this recently during a very stressful exam day in London on headphones staring at the endless traffic whizzing by and found it very grounding - kind of makes you feel safe - definitely recommended.

Fabulous!
Although I would say I prefer Snatam Kaur and Nirinjan Kaur (singers in the same genre) to Deva Premal, yet this album gets played nearly every day. There's definitely a right mood for this one, and at times it just hits a spot that nothing else will.Premal's voice is low and soothing, and also manages to be uplifting at the same time, though again I would say the other two artists I mention above are more universally uplifting. It's very beautiful and deep music.

A brilliant CD - bought as a gift and cherished from day one by the giftee - I got a free copy from lovely Amazon too and I am constantly playing it.

It is ok. But couldn't really use this one for my practice, as it sometimes is a little disjointed and lively. But ok for me to listen too. Not too relaxing. Also, on two of the tracks it jumps quite a bit.
