My nine year old daughter is fascinated with makeup. For Christmas, she told her sister that she wanted to get her own makeup. I have pretty conservative views on makeup in general, although I do wear it myself. I just didn't want her getting something from the drugstore and smearing it all over and then walking around looking like she was in stage makeup. I also have chemical sensitivities and very sensitive skin, so I was also concerned for her well being. Because of these reasons, I set out to find a more gentle, child friendly option that would allow my daughter to explore her curiosity within comfortable limits. This Klee Kids Queen Fairy makeup fit the bill perfectly. I use natural mineral makeup myself, so I knew what to expect from loose powder. For younger children, you will want to supervise their play. I helped her the first couple times and showed her how to load the brush and tap off the excess. I also demonstrated how to store the containers upright so that not too much powder accumulates in the compartment where you apply it to your brush. If you have too much powder in there and then the container tips or is dropped, you're going to lose a lot of product. So just store it upright and and only tip it with the lid on to get enough for one application.As far as the colors go, they are very light and appropriate for little girls. The eye shadow is lavender and very subtle, but pretty. A soft, subdued pink, the blush is quite natural. The favorite of this whole kit is the sparkly face and body shimmer powder. It is silvery, sparkling white and looks like she wearing fairy dust. She just loves to put it on. You should know what to expect with the finger nail polish. This is peel-able. My girl loves to apply polish, but she also is quick to peel it off. This works great for little girls who love the experience of painting their nails with their mom, but like to peel it off. It doesn't stink of chemicals. If you want longer lasting polish, get piggy paint. The lotion is made of natural oils and scented with lavender and orange. My daughter did not really like the smell that much at first, but she has grown used to it and has been using it more since I told her it was lemonade lotion. I think that helped. She loves the pink lemonade lip tint and so do I. It's pink enough to be a noticeable change, but pretty and shimmery. Overall, she and I are very pleased with this makeup kit. Knowing what to expect helps. This is high quality little girls make up and I am completely confident recommending it to any looking for natural mineral makeup for their little girls. Honestly, I wish they made mom make up. The quality is great and I would buy it for myself in a flash.

My 4 year old is obsessed with playing dress up and until this purchase, I’ve been buying whatever play make up I could find wherever I was. I hated the thought of her putting who knows what on her face/eyes/mouth, but she’s 4 and messy, so I didn’t want to spend a ton knowing most would be wasted. I was so excited when I found this product and even more excited when I saw the price - very reasonable!As for the makeup itself, I was a bit concerned with the loose powder, and although it was messy, it didn’t make a mess everywhere like I thought it would. Oh, and I love that the nail polish didn’t stink!! We will definitely buy more!

We love this ! The color is subtle but with lots of shimmer! My daughter really enjoyed the smell of the lotion . At first it smells like fruity pebbles ... but in a natural way? I don’t know how to explain it but YUM! Thanks for making a great natural fun product . We will be buying more !

My daughter loves her Klee makeup set! Perfectly shimmery & sweetly scented for a 6 yr old. I have peace of mind knowing that there aren't any harmful chemicals & that she can play to her heart's content. Even better, a makeup set is donated to a sick child in-hospital as a result of my purchase. We hope it brings much joy :-)

I’m happy with the quality, but tubs of loose powder are NOT appropriate for 3-year-olds. My kid dumped it all over the floor and then made glitter angels in it. And then was sad because there was no more. Quality was good, though be warned that I have sensitive skin, and the lotion immediately gave me a rash. The kid had no issues with it. The lip balm is lovely-smelling, though, again, a tad soft and tasty for little little kids.

I read the reviews before buying this for my niece for Christmas and from those I gathered this set seemed to be fairly subtle. However there are a couple items (the little ‘pots’) that have a lot of shimmer and were much more obnoxious than I anticipated. I don’t know how much my niece was allowed to use this. Too messy. I think she liked it though, for what that’s worth.

This kit is very age-appropriate with muted, but sparkly colors that your daughter will love, but that won't leave her looking like a contestant in a beauty pageant. The make-up is good quality as well, non-toxic, and made in the USA. The only thing that would make it nicer would be if it included a cute make-up bag for storage.

Bought this for my daughter, I'm really happy with it and so is she. The colors are light and sweet, not too much for young kiddos and nice and shimmery. The nail polish is pretty and easy to remove without nail polish remover. The lip gloss is a nice shade and tastes really good! Most of all, though, I love that the ingredients are safe and natural, so I don't have to worry about what my daughter is putting on her skin. Thanks for making this great product.
