Q: True to size? I wear 7.5, should i get 7 or 8?

I usually wear a 7-7 1/2 so I got the 8 but there was too much room between my toes and the tip of the shoe. Exchanged for a 7.

Q: Are the soles of these slippers really rubber or are they a rubber-like plastic?

Rubber. I bought them for my 92 year old mother who is in a nursing home. They had to be well made and sturdy. I was happy with them.

Q: how does the quality compare to real Uggs?

Not good quality. The stitching fell apart after 2 weeks. I returned them. I never had a pair of Uggs come apart. I will not buy them again.

Q: can you wash these in cool water?

I saw on another site that you it is recommended to hand wash in warm water with mild detergent and line dry. I've washed the bottoms in water with soap and they seem okay.
