Held up for a production of Mary Poppins. Good quality for the price.
I ordered these for my son, who was cast as Michael Banks in a production of Mary Poppins. He wore them almost daily for 2 months of practices for a few hours. They looked great with knickers and long socks, and the split soles were comfortable for him to dance in. By the end of the show, I'd say the heels are about 1/2 gone. For the price, I'm pleased with how these held up. They do look good. I ordered what I thought was a child's size three. They sent me a 4.5, and they fit perfectly.

Great dance shoe for the Nutcracker
Purchased the size 5 for my son who wears a street shoe size 4. They were too big as expected but could just be laced up tighter. He really loved them and there is room to grow. Great quality for the price!

Fits small and is cuter in reality.
My 6 yrs old out them on and didn't want to take them off. They are cuter in reality than the picture. The leather is soft yet feels durable. I'll update the durability later but on first look it was acceptable and my child loves them so a win for me.

Well made, but pay attention to sizing.
Seems well made especially for the money. For those buying these type shoes for the first time, the wearer’s toes are supposed to lay flat to the end of the shoe. My daughter wears a 3.5 in everyday shoes, but I bought 2.5 in these shoes. Fit is slightly big but almost perfect.

Great shoes for plays and costumes
My daughter says the shoes are extremely comfortable but they do not have a hard sole and she wore them outside for Halloween and said she could feel every pebble. However, the soles did hold up so if you did want to use them for outside wear then I would suggest taking them to a shoe repair person to have them put a hard sole on the bottom.

Laces WAY too long, adult size
These are adult laces on a children's size 13--insanely long. Even when knotted and pulled into long loops and looped twice, they're still way too long and touch the ground (even triple looped!), which is a hazard for dance and onstage movement. We also tried wrapping them around the boot ankle, but that made the boots uncomfortable during movement, and they could/would also slip up to above the boot, onto the calf. I could buy new laces, but they're thinner (specialty) laces (not sneaker style)--but that defeats the purpose, and the buyer should have a wearable/usable shoe, right out of the box, otherwise what's the point. A kid doesn't need complicated tying and too long, high maintenance laces! So disappointed. Fail. Otherwise, she's a 13 and they're TTS in a size 13, and are comfortable on her feet. Pretty cheaply made (certainly true to the brand name: Cheapdancing), the soles are sketchy, and would probably last one show/set of rehearsals, and a performance. Max.Lastly, we can thank Amazon for taking over the market, causing all of the local (formerly several) dance stores to shut down and go out of business. Dancewear, dance shoes should really be tried on in person (& double checked by dance pro salespeople), to ensure the correct fit, as the sizing and fit can vary. Sure, they might be slightly cheaper per pair, but having to order 7 different pairs and brands just to see what fits is a huge pain, and again defeats the purpose. If you've got a local dance store--go there.
